  • Gilmaking at level 30-40?

    Hello.
What would be nice ways for me to make money when I'm a thief at about level 35?
I've just sold exp loot for the most part so far, but now I feel that I need a bit more. It would be nice if I could make use of that handy Steal ability too~

level a craft and farm materials for it. start into leather for instance. its pretty easy to get leather up into the range where you can synth ram leather. once there you can head to la thiene or konschat and make a decent income off of rams, sheep and bees. who knows, you might even get stray mary.

steal beastcoins from gobs. mass murder bees in giddus for chips. cull sheep/rams in la thiene/konstacht for skins. farm fungars for shrooms.

lots of things you can do

      Thanks Yyg!

about that level I used to steal cotton from mandys(Lathene) and kill tigers for Black Tiger fangs(15K a stack...usted to be better when they were 30K at stack. The hides kinda fluctuated but they were good poket change...but they tend to fill up your bag too fast 'case they don't stack!

Bees in giddeus was always fun, I used to do that like 8 hours a day (literally, looking back, I was an idiot >.>) The stacks were like 3k tops then, and when I had checked AH like a month ago they were 15-18k O.o
Try there, if it's crowded and sucks, you can sub rng and kill the bees/crawlers/elementals in tahrongi.
Giddeus first though, they drop a chip like every 3 kills.

Try the northeast part of Meriphitaud Mountains for Crane Fly, Coeurl, and beastmen. With TH1, Crane Fly drops Gausebit Grass very commonly, Coeurl drop whiskers, hide, and meat rather uncommonly, and the beastmen don't have any drops of note, but you can steal a Silver Beastcoin from them whenever your timer is up.

            Gausebit Grass - 2-3k each / 18-20k stack
            Coeurl Whisker - 1k each / 10k stack
            Coeurl Hide - 2k each
            Coeurl Meat - 3k each / 25k stack
            Silver Beastcoin - 1k each / 10k stack

People don't really know it, but

Grains Seed Stacks USED to sell for a nice buck.
The price has probably deflated tremendously on all servers.

But you can basically get the item to drop or you can steal it from walking/strolling sapplings and the like.

Coeurls are always good farm. You can steal wiskers and kill for meat drops.

Cockatrice might only be good to farm if you have a partner @ 40. Or unless you're subbing NIN and you have your marksmanship capped. You can steal Giant Bird feathers which sell nicely in stacks, and kill for cockatrice meat (Which will always be in demand)

              So yeah.

If you wanna make really good money, you should attempt a BCNM.
Or grab some people to do a garrison.
