I mean if you can swipe Utsusemi: San then THF/NIN at 75 has a chance of some crazy stuff against mobs that use that.
Envisioning Ichi(prefight) -> Steal (San) -> Ichi -> Ni -> Ichi I mean it's a decent defense. >.>

People tried with Job Abilities already. That would be really insane if you could steal Hundred Fists.

I think Utsusemi and other shadow spells would have a shadow absorbed if you tried to steal it.

You think, but haven't tried. I suggested those because the picture the guy shows a THF stealing berserk, that's a WARs ability. Program wise it sounds logical then that the THF can steal anything that would pop up as an icon up top as long as it's a beneficial type.

I mean the Empties that steal buffs have swipped barrage from me before and saw a MNK get his Hundred Fist swipped before as well. Which is why I questioned if the THFs steal is similar to the Empites then program wise they should be able to steal some things like those as well. Which means certain Jobs 2hrs they could swipe if it works. I know they wouldn't be able to swipe Eagle Eye Shot, or NINs 2hr since those are both instant attacks.

The Utsusemi I doubt it would end up as a shadow absorbed, since steal ignores shadows. You can still steal items off a mob with utsusemi and doesn't deminish the shadows.

If shadows absorbed Aura Steal that would be really wierd since Steal doesnt do damage.

I love how you were dodging all they attacks by Proteus and then you get Evasion boost and he starts taking away your shadows lol

Thats cool though, I've been having a blast with Aurasteal.

I've stolen Utsusemi: Ni off of Tonberrys so I know you can absorb it.

You cannot steal 2hr abilities though, would make dynamis much more fun if you could though
