O good advice. I have been ignoring missions and quests because I have the impression that they are useless. I just want to level up... Looks like in order to get PTs to level up i need to finish those missions heh.Subjob wise, I was looking at BLU or PUP. Maybe COR as well. But I will try them all out and see what makes me enjoy my character! The flaw with judging people by their subjob is, with a lvl 25 THF and a lvl 10 WAR, my subjob has nothing to do with my main, they are 2 different classes and to judge my abilities as a thief based on my Warrior Subjobs level is pretty flawed logic. Yet i see how they can relate the two without thinking about it....Also the logic is not always there with most people... Ok Thanks for the advice! Ill keep that rank and subjob leveled.

but also, your stats slightly increase with a better subjob. a 22thf/1war has less stats thatn a 22thf/11war.
with different sub jobs give different stats, ie. mage jobs, etc.

I love theif btw... I was leveling it as a sj for my War20.. After I got SA I had a complete change of heart... I haven't switched back to my war yet... LoL.... Quick Question though... I have a spark bilbo that gives add'l damage w/ battery equip... Does the lightning effect come randomly or is there or is there something I could do to make it come more often... Thank you guys I love this site....

Update.

For anyone who does care, i hit Thief lvl 30 and i would be hyped about TA, but for some reason i cant seem to land it. I stand right behind the mob too. Is it because it wont show up in my log, or am i really missing it?

You need to be behind a person to use it, and it isnt a garunteed hit until 60. Before then its just a normal hit that does a little more damage that can miss.

in your macro, stack sneak attack with trick attack...

and then.. u can use your weapon skill or just hit...
usually a huge increase along with trick attack if you dont miss it..

ive seen him pop anywhere between 30min and 2 hrs. Usually when theres a long pop it is followed by a short pop. If its like an hour between pops then its at that medium stage.
Ive usually gotten him on the top if the hill area. use /rng if you want to seek him out but i usually just camped a spot and went /war.

This was pre-r/ex patch though.

I just stood in the middle of the hill area and refreshed wide scan for about an hour. I had 3 other people camping as well, 2 from the same linkshell, but none had RNG sub so that was my advantage. LL spawned far away from the hill, i tracked her, popped Flee, and ran straight to her, got the claim no drop =/.

Looks like ill be camping for some time... thanks

You dont really HAVE to, but it's a very good sub to have... People will most likely expect you to have it too, even though WAR can do just as good/better in most cases.

Yeah NIN does have a lot of advantages, but i Ranger. I might have to get it leveled up anyway. *sigh*
