    Re: Days without a party...

Patience is key with the THF job. My advice is to just not worry about it too much - put up your flag and then go farm/quest/craft. Spend your time wisely, don't just sit in Jeuno LFP. Or, as was already said, make your own party.

You have to make your own parties if you don't get invites. People don't understand how good thieves are against flying mobs so you kinda have to make your own and go camp flying mobs so you can impress your party.

Also, before L60 THF is a bit of a hassle because of SATA, so bringing a WAR/NIN would be recommended. SAM/WAR works pretty well also. At L60 when you get Assassin it becomes a lot easier to PT with a THF and you no longer need to SATA unless you're aiming for high SC damage.

Personally I've been inviting thieves as much as possible lately. The ToAU regions are filled with popular flying exp mobs and thieves destroy those. A couple days ago I made a colibri party and we momentarily broke 12k/h because of our impressive killing speed. The other melees were two pimped out NIN/WARs who dealt on average 29% damage each while the THF/WAR was leading with an impressive 37%. And the NINs were no crappy DDs either. I was actually losing hate to them at times even though I was pumped with +enmity and was constantly building as much hate as possible.

Also, I would advice against subbing NIN unless you're doing exceptionally dangerous pulls. WAR sub simply offers more damage and it's unlikely you will pull hate anyway.
