The easy way is to steal, the harder way is to melee. Steal is risky because it all depends on luck. But most of my friend did maat the easy way.--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I never was able to steal from him, so I did it via melee means. I'm guesstimating you can win if you're able to take off around 1440HP or so. I took a blink band, some evasion gear, sushi, and a few bolts and was able to beat him. The blink band is pretty nasty =).
