the bolts you can use a thf are not friendly to your wallet at all. imo a better way is to level ranger up for a bit, around level 20 should do. All cheap low level bolts you can buy from NPC are all useable by rangers. It will be much cheaper and easier over all.

I prefer to level Marksmanship on RNG as well. If you're just going for skill it's very handy.

if you don't want to level another job, use the cheapest bolts you can, and get a high level buddy to tank.


get as much RACC as you can, it'll save you so much money.

Depending on server prices, NPCing Bullets may be cheaper than status bolts.

Oh yeah, and level RNG to 10 for the Accuracy bonus.

I just use level 1 bolts. XD But I guess depending on the mob, you may prefer to have the damage from bullets.

Well if you have the money or can craft them, sleep bolts are a good way to lvel up marksmanship :p But on some servers they're pretty pricey I think. I was able to craft them, so I used them to skill up my marksmanship on my thf. But if you're pinching pennies or can't craft them, I wouldn't recommend it.

Grab an archer's knife, sub WAR for defender, buy some bloody bolts, and go kill shit. :-D That's how I did it at 30.

THF doesn't get the level 1 bolts.

If you're actually going to solo stuff, may as well just spam Sleep Bolts over and over. The poor thing won't be able to touch you.

Also consider subbing WHM, putting up Barstonra, and shooting worms.

i personally like bloodybolts. you can whack away and dont have to sub whm, sub war, rng or watever you like. you can reach 100 skill by killing crabs and worms in qufim.

Good thing about having WAR at level 40 is that you can skill up using the cheap level 1 bolts, and have a spare bloody bolt stack incase you get low on health. Don't even need /nin.

I just go on worms in qufim.

Question: What level does marksmanship cap at level 40THF? That's where I need to get it.
