    Looks like a nice new ring for Thief has been added in expansion:

    Anybody manage to get ahold of this yet? If it's like a food effect and can stack with your regular equipment, this would be a really great item for Thief trying to boost their Dexterity.

      Seems like it would depend though on how long that enchantment lasts and how hard that ring is to get, if it's a 1~8 DEX boost for only 10 sec. or so and have to spend 3 hrs getting it kind of looses it's luster.

        If it's like Vision and Mighty Rings, it'll last for 30 minutes with 30 minute recast. It seems like that type with the 50 charges and all.

          Take it the ring must be worn the whole time to keep the enchantment active for the 30 min.?

          30 min. is a decent lasting time, even if the ring must remain worn as long as you are getting between +6 - +8 on it then it's probably the best +DEX ring you'll find.

          Otherwise if it isn't giving you +6 - +8 by lv. 74 then Jupiter's Ring would be better for a +DEX ring if you can get one.

              Did the math on it, if it works like others with the 1~8 then this rings would be something like:

              LV(+Dex)
              60(+1)
              62(+2)
              64(+3)
              66(+4)
              69(+5)
              71(+6)
              73(+7)
              75(+8)

              Looking at other rings this ring only shines after Lv. 69 before that it's pointless because Grace Ring (+4 Dex and lv. 54) is better then it. After Lv. 69 for DEX boost no other ring matches it. The closest to come in comparison to level is Adriot Ring with a Lv. 72 gives you +5 DEX, which as you see this ring is already +1 DEX ahead. Then again with Jupiter's Ring (Lv. 74 and +6 Dex) were at that level this ring is again +1 DEX ahead and at 75 is +2 ahead.

              So it's a nice ring but not till 69 and up. Not entirely sure how SE always does their rounding if they just drop the decimal and do no rounding then from 69 and up the numbers are off which just makes the ring even better, but if it's right then well ring is still good around the 68-69 level.

              Also though got to note at such high levels somethings pushing them really high might not help much, it's a good ring if the rest of the gear is configured right.

                From the name, it might not work like the Vision and Mighty Rings. It's a Random Ring, which suggests that you randomly get anywhere from 1-8 DEX per activation?

                  Mysterytour has the Quest info listed, it is entitled The Die is Cast. The walkthrough is somewhat near the end of the Aht Uhrgan Whitegate Quest list, here link for that:

                  You have to have unlocked Corsair in order to start this quest... kind of odd and makes me wonder what a level 60 Job with Corsair unlocked would use this for, but anyway there it is. I've finished the cutscenes, don't really see what difference the different choices offered make. A Notorious Monster Imp needs to be fought to obtain this ring, so I am going to try to convince a couple of Tanks and Red Mages to go get it with me hopefully within this week. I'll report back with exactly how it operates once I get ahold of it.

                  Pertinent stats:

                  Lv. 60, All jobs
                  Rare/Ex
                  Effects for Random Ring:
                  Enchantment: Dexterity +1~8
                  <Max Charges: 50 / Equip Delay: 30s / Reuse Timer: 30m>

                    Don't know, kind be odd if they start making items that have the like +2~5 and the bonus is random. As far as I know every item that goes in that fashion is kind of similar to the idea of being kind of like an evolving item, so the stat bonuses go LV Min is Min Stat then increases by a difference up to 75.

                    So for example the Raja Ring which has the +2~5 stat at lv. 30 it starts as +2, then at 45 it is +3, 60 is +4, and 75 is +5. That is how I've known all the ones to do that range to go. I think the naming of Random might just be due to something of it's backstory, since it seems Corsair job needs to be unlocked to get it.

                    My original consern before if that's what the idea is being based off of was if the ring 'evolution' point made it stronger then rings obtainable at that level because it seemed to come close to other rings I knew which I had pointed them out.

                    Your point is valid on it though, if the rings do give a random number then it kind of sucks because the odds of it being 6 and under is to high. You'd just be better of with a Jupiter Ring then.

                      A ring that gave +8 DEX consistently at level 75 is way too powerful. I'm betting that it's a random activation as I described above.

                      Given S-E's penchant for bizarre and strange hidden effects, I wonder if it might also have an effect on Corsairs... but that's pure speculation.

                        Balfree, was your reply in regards to it being a ring that had to be worn constantly after used to maintain enchantment?
                        I'm not aware of any enchanted items that require that, but the rng AF+1 gloves do require that for the extra arrow from Barrage. In that case, you don't have to have the item on when activating it, but you do have to have them on when you use it. Something of a flip flop from the way SE usually does things.

                          Don't know about that really Jupiter's Ring is a constant +6 DEX and +2 INT with a -2 MND. This ring is a 50 charge enchantment for +8 DEX only +2 higher then Jupiter's.

                          Doesn't seem that greatly overpowered to me realy considering someone before could reach the same equivalent by just getting Jupiter's Ring and adding +2 DEX in Merit Points.

                          Though since you brought it up, it seems to make sense a hidden effect that could influence the Phantom Roll would seem to work for the Random meaning to the rings name.

                            you can always use the enchantment and switch in your regular ring. Imaing a guaranteed +8 on top of Jupiter's 6 Dex.

                              Even if it were a 100% +8 DEX (which I sincerely doubt), you'd run out of charges soon enough...and the quest shouldn't be repeatable. Once it hits 0 charges...it's as good as a rusty bucket. ._.
