SJ question (not sj for thf)

Is /thf good for any job? I was wondering because im getting thf to 30 then it would be helpful to use it as a sj for some job and i could lvl high without lvling thf. So post the jobs or links, thanks!

It's good for farming...but I'm not sure if it's any good in an exp party.

Doesn't offer much. At best, a guaranteed Critical with Sneak Attack (it won't have any added DMG from DEX, though.) I'd take Berserk (/WAR15) over Sneak Attack (/THF15) any day. At 50 /WAR offers Double Attack, too. It's not used much 'til the 60+ range, and that's more of an issue of hate control (passing hate on to the tank on skillchains) rather than doing damage.

wow, Armando, surprised you passed up this opportunity to spread anti-war/nin sentiments. Don't worry, I'll cover you:

while /war is better than /thf for most DD jobs, war itself gets tremendous benefit out of /thf. If you plan on leveling war beyond 30 and don't want to tank, war/thf is -the best Damage Dealer levels 30-50.- Sneak Attack + Sturmwind and make everyone cry. That is all. @60, sam and drk get some limited usefulness out of it. war, drg, and mnk can get use out of it too, but it's much rarer. All in all, it's a very nice sub to have leveled to 30 (evasion bonus 2 @60/30 is really noticable while farming and once you hit 50 any job, you won't stop subbing thf in town for flee).

Well, that kinda stinks for me, so whenever i need to lvl a job i'll either have to be past 30 with that job and it will be war (the job i avoid,drg, and mnk, or itll be at 60 with sam, and drk. or just have to lvl it with /thf any way until i can lvl the sj.

/thf is an excelent subjob after 60 for jobs like drk&sam, mnk too. It means there is no longer needs for a Thf and you can just have 2 heavy DD jobs as your xxx/thf can do the sata and it also adds a fair whack onto your ws's. Youll need to go /war till 60 and it would be a good idea to have it lved for after 60 as well incase the party needs you for voke instead of sata.
