Re: thief money
And this is where TH gives us a wonderfully misunderstood and often overlooked edge in gaining items.
As a low level THF, you won't see much of a difference in your gilfinder or your TH abilities, especially if you're going after mobiles that have lower percentage drop rates for certain items (Which you'll personally have to experience for yourself; You'll notice that if you want to farm beehive chips that they drop more frequently off Giddeus Bees than off Man Eating Hornets. TH helps to increase the frequency at which that rate drops). But our class does have the abilities for coming out with more than most in the end. Even still, this takes time and effort.
Now. As previosly stated by Toki, TH isn't some godly uber skill (I think it's great =P) that will get you rich in a matter of seconds. All of THF's skills are best equipped for grabbing gil, but overall, it will take time to get a pretty penny for your skills - of which you probably won't notice are uber awesome until you hit lv 50+ when you're stealing stacks of beastcoins and you're able to farm most of the items that you need for item synthing with great ease. =)
Double Post Edited:
Lowlevel areas certainly are a good penny when you need a really fast buck.
Just be certain of more frequent droprates and you'll save yourself time and effort.
For example.... Silk stacks....Even with TH2, in West and East Sarutabaruta, they take A FRICKEN LONG TIME TO GRAB, because crawlers have horrible drop rates for silk in that area.
Beehive chips in Giddeus have proven to be more frequent than anything to me. With TH, I made a stacks in less than 8 minutes for a total of 9 stacks in about an hour and 32. Helped me boost alchemy very quickly as well. Not to mention, on Bahamut server in Windurst, they sold for 30k a stack.
Another thing that you want to use to your advantage - Mobiles that drop their steal items.
Every 5 minutes, you'll have a chance to rob a freebee off of them, and if your drop roll wins you the same drop, you just got two items for the price of one. It doesn't happen as frequent, but you feel uber when it does =P. Example mobs would be Bees, Snippers, Pugils, but most preferably, Saplings at low levels, and various beastmen at higher levels (For teh gold beastcoins~)
Manipulation and Trickery. That's what we're mainly about. =P
