You shouldn't have any accuracy problem with squid sushi.

For the record, Sushi below level 40 isn't that great. You'll get similar or better accuracy increase results with Rice Dumplings, plus you get a nice atk boost.

I prefer sword off-hand because I can actually do some damage with it. I don't think the added TP gain from dual weilding fast daggers is an issue since the purpose of TP in an exp PT is to skillchain, which gets limited by your partner's TP and whether or not the mob's almost dead. As long as your partner isn't waiting too long for you, extra TP doesn't make too much of a difference.

Besides, it's a good opportunity to keep sword skill leveled =p

On a side note, Viper deals consistant damage because it doubles your atk (says so in the WS description.) Using Viper, you're probably always hitting a soft cap in the dmg you gain from boosting atk.

Fast Blade itself is actually stronger given that a sword has higher base dmg, it's 2 hits instead of 1, and has str and dex stat modifiers that viper bite doesn't. If you somehow manage to get a mob beyond "low defense" then Fast Blade will be stronger. Otherwise, Viper Bite is better.

Depends on the delay on your weapon. Thieves typically get around 5% TP per hit because dagger delay is so low.

The idea of dual wielding is to get your delay as low as you can for the most TP gain, otherwise there isnt much point other than boosting a stat. If you have just enough haste (Dual Wield modifier included) to gain 5 TP a swing, you might actually be slowing your TP gain instead of speeding it up.

I have about 20% haste from dual wield (this is, if Suppanomimi is 5% or .05 modifier like I've been told and Dual Wield II 15% or .15) which is enough to get my TP/hit to 5%. But I'm actually gaining TP faster because I have enough haste to hit the TP floor AND gain more haste. I don't know if Ive stated that clearly... reading it doesnt sound correct but I can think of any other way to state it. I gain 5% TP per hit, but I have more haste than needed to hit that TP floor so I gain TP faster... I guess thats more clear.

I have another question. Is the Dex and Agi boost from Squid Suishi something a lot of thieves take advantage of? Or do most opt for Atk food? You get a huge increase and dex and agi from Squid Suishi, but without atk I'm thinking your SATA won't be very consistent, and you run the risk of knocking out a lot of 0's against IT mobs for no TP. What do you guys think?

I use squid sushi all the time for a few reasons. After being spoiled with sushi for so long, I hate my TP gain with attack food, even when Im keeping up with my SC partner. Another reason is the DEX and AGI boost. And the last reason would be that its less expensive than the other sushi, such as sole.

I dont get 0s in exp, I dont think I have since crabs in Kuftal at 51-52 and I was using a Hornetneedle >.>

Well I may ditch the Mithran Scimitar and see how Squid Sushi works out. The dex/agi boost is enough where I would be satisfied, and I honestly don't care too much about the accuracy. I'd just like to be able to do the amount of damage I'm expected to do at the right time, including having a speedy tp gain so I'm ready at all times. I'm not really serious about thf being my main. Truthfully I'm only taking it to 45 probably, but I would like to do a good job at it. I don't want to slack off or anything. Right now at lvl 35, my SATA VB does around 380-450 dmg. Does that sound about right for my level?

On worker crawlers? Yea that sounds about right. If you want an ATK boost you can always sub WAR. Berserk is nice at that lvl, turning a high def mob into a normal or low def mob, and I think its probably the better sub pre-40 or 50. (40 because you might want to offhand something with mainhand THF AF knife)

Haven't been to CN quite yet. This is off of beetles and dhalmels in East Altepa. But once I go to CN I guess I know what my dmg should be like x_x

Thx for covering up the fast blade part for me. Pretty helpful. In terms of skillchaining though, I'll probably take SATA viper rather than SATA Fastblade though, for the dmg consistency.

if you ever are bored enough, as i was, camp cargo crab colin in korrokola tunnel. nadrs are great! best sword to use till mithran scimtar iirc.

when i was lvling thf, sata-combo was nice too. even though its 3 hits, it still ends fusion nicely.

Beetles resist piercing damage so VB will do less damage and Dhalmels are just a pain until they berserk ;p



PS. do dhalmels have Berserk in the deserts?
