Guys what am I doing wrong?

Today I got a Mimic on my Caslte Oztroja Coffer for the THF Pants. Every THF i asked didnt get any Mimics >.< what am i doing wrong ;_;.

i already had a mimic on my THF Hands i had to get a key for it.

Just bad luck I guess? From what I understand it's just chance. You can always just try to pick it again x_x

i think they changed mimic they use STUN right at the beginning so i cant even use my 2h and warp ;_;

Some tools lower the chance of getting a mimic, I think it was skeleton key that lowered it the most. I'm not completely sure though

Were you using thief tools? If so they have the highest chance of getting a mimic (that's why they are cheap).

Zone key's = no mimic
Skeli keys = low
other key = med
tools = high.

Something like that anyway.

That is the order, though I've never heard of zone keys (dont doubt the existence though). I think the other key is called Living key or something to that effect.

Ah. ok
I couldnt figure out why more ppl didnt use skele keys. With less of a chance of mimics they seem to be worth it. I checked the cost on Fairy one time, and they werent much more expensive.

100k ?! Jesus, is that for a stack? You only need 1... every coffer I went with 1 key, popped just fine.

I usually failed with skeleton keys so I'm starting to think they have a lower chance of opening the coffers then the other keys o.o Then again I usually have bad luck with things like that Anyways, good luck

Picking your AF coffers with THF is definitely easier than most other job's AF ordeals, but its not always a cake walk. I believe I used thief tools for all mine. I got lucky on Castle Oz though, I was helping somebody else get their coffer key and just so happened to get 2 drops in a row(!!!), so I got the second one right as we were about to leave. On my other AFs while I never got a mimic, I did have problems with traps, which can screw you over if you happen to get agro immediately after(weakness -> agro -> death). Even if you dont get agro that weakness sometimes lasts for over an hour. Its just a matter of keeping at it, eventually you'll get it! Good luck!

when stuff like that happens I just seriously think to myself, at least I didnt have to get a coffer in garliage or eldieme. talk about true suckage, imagine dealing with that and also having to get a group together to get you through gates etc. what a pain, I definitely feel for you but things could be worse.
