Umm yeah maat and capped evasion dont mix, your not gonna be able to pound him unless your a galka with lots of HP gear, even then your lucky to get him down half. You have 1 option steal, go in run behind him hit flee+pd+hide and steal, it should work and u win.

about maat and fighting, i have a video (non galka) fighting maat very well
<ou will need markmentship capped as well, but thats another story

No it's not, it can be done. Youd need proper meds, capped eva, capped amrks, bloody/sleep bolts, good eva gear (Ohat, Sharn are a plus), and maybe a blink band or something if youd like.

Well i had capped eva marks and best possible gear including +15 evasion skill on him and he rocked me like no tomarrow.

Look in video forums, A hume thf takes him down with little trouble. He didnt even try to steal from him.

i gained about 9 lvls on evasion one evening soloing Flamingos in sky while waiting for ls members to arrive, when they did 1 whm pl'd me for several birds, it was really sweet skillups
