Well, as far as being a taru goes, if its been said once, its been said a thousand times:
Skill > Gear > Race. Be what you want. Technically mithra have the highest dexterity of any race, and you will probably hit for a little less than thf's of other races, but it all stuff that can easily be overcome by playing smart and getting the right dex and str+ gear.
As for your lvling plan, that sounds like the most efficient way to go. However, be aware that you may lvl ninja halfway and then decide to go and lvl thf some more. Having a lvling plan is good, but be flexible with it. Forcing yourself to only lvl a certain job before you can lvl anything else will most likely get you burnt out faster than you would otherwise. You said you were a 56 sam before should I'm guessing you already know this. But all in all, yeah it looks good. Wish I had lvld WAR more than I did, now I'm dreading going back to it.

tarutaru might not be a very wise choice for a theif but then again it would be challenging and fun ^_^ but a mithra and a hume theif might get more party invites

If anyone denies you a party slot because of your race, it's because you suck as a player and they know it, or they are uneducated and narrow minded

As for your question Vaziel, that sounds like a brilliant leveling plan, and while you're leveling WAR try and keep your sword skill capped as much as you can, as it has the best WS to SA for the lower levels (Fast Blade). Alternatively you can also level hand-to-hand and use Combo, but if I remember correctly, Fast Blade did more damage. I know you didn't ask about SA advice, and it is player > gear > race but just incase you didn't know, this will help maximize your damage potential

lol atm im leveling thf and i got smn as sub im mudering those gobs in windy even tho im level 3 lmao im kicking butt taru power plus ifrit shiva titan and ramuh so im really really str proble stroung as a galkan or even mroe adding in my attack plus rng and plus monster weakness summon equal around 25 dmg or even 30

Don't ask. :p But yeah seriously, Taru can be whatever job they want as long as they play intelligently and equip themsleves correctly for what they're wanting to do. The OP sounds like a smart guy so I doubt he'll have too many problems. ^^ Just gear yourself up right and keep in mind that you have limited HP compared to other races and less str when you choosing equip options and you'll be fine. If you're ever asked to tank as war or nin (and you probably will) then you need to take note of your HP. I used a few hp items when I played a tanking job as taru but you certainly don't have to play it that way. It just helped me out a bit to do so. Just stay smart about what you're doing and you'll do fine.

In my personal opinion, race only plays a factor at lower lvls. Past 30 or so, no matter what race you are, you'll play the same because you are a THF, not different because you're a Taru. In my Linkshell, we've got a Taru THF and a Mithra THF, and honestly, they perform so close to identical that it's obvious race doesn't matter, but rather, their equipment choice does. So if you can sort out your equipment choice, you can play any race of THF effectively.

End-game, Taru THF is just fine. Any THF is just fine at end-game. People will love you and start to become somewhat dependant on you for your Treasure Hunter ability (increased droprate) for those end-game mobs. So you'll be going on raids and runs just for that, regardless of your race. The one thing I would like more about a Taru THF over, say, an Elvaan one, is that Taru are smaller, and in my opinion easier to position in battle for Sneak Attack and Trick Attack ^^ I suppose it gets difficult when fighting those huge and tall mobs though, because from a Taru's perspective, the camera would be way skewed (@Q@ )

Camera angle is a bit awkward sometimes. Particularly w/ Elvaan, I often don't see people's faces without contorting the camera angle or zooming out. But it's not been a big deal as yet.

Haha, I had trouble lining up my lengthy Elvaan body behind people for SATA my first time into Garlaige with THF XD But you eventual learn and get the hang of it. Just seemed like Taru wouldn't have it so bad :D

lol short hume here and i got brunt out on lvling my thf lol so i stuck with rdm, then i got brunt out on that went to drg, lol now thats slowing down and i am going back to nin roots so i can make a great thf again

oh btw lol short hume >< i feel bad, my dragon is bigger than my standing up ><

oh well lol yes only only thing wrong with taru thf's is at low levels if you pull and get hit allot but after 24 that wont matter cuase you will have shadows to protect you<even if you dont land the TA on a SATA the shadows will help you out with not dying until the pld/nin/war pull hate back off

the only thing i would say is every thing that give you DEX and AGI is your best friend and you should have it <but dont go crazy over gear lol>

well i hope you have fun lvl thf lol i on caitsith so you wont see me /cry but thf is fun as hell <as long as the pld isn't to rude to move for the SATA god i hate pld's like that>
i mean you try to give the hate lol and they wont take it oh well lol and taru taru thf's are cool to see lol
.... well have fun with thf ^^ <just try not to get tried with thf cuase the road is long and hard and you will get tried but take a drgs propective lol i always be there with you to pass the time lol>
