THF and Spirits Within

Hello everyone, been a while since I've posted here. ^^
Just a few quick questions about THF and the sword WS Spirits Within. Since we get it at level 57-58ish, I was wondering...

1) Is it better (more dammagin) than Dancing Edge?

2) How exactly does it work? (I've heard it has something to do with HP... but no one seems to know for sure.) And why does this make it/make everyone say that its so damn good?

3) Does it make using a sword (see: Green Scimitar) viable in a PT? Or for other uses, such as Ballista or HNM fights?

I'd appreciate any responses to these questions. Please share your knowledge with me so that I can decide whether skilling up my sword is worth my time and effort. ^^ Thankses. :D

Dancing Edge is always going to be better for exp really. Spirits within does this fraction of your current HP in damage depending on how much TP you have: 4/32 100%TP 6/32 200%TP 15/32 300%TP.

spirit within can't be used with SATA and not connect to any skillchain. enough to not use it as thf...

Dancing Edge and Shark Bite are your winners for XP parties as a thief. Spirits Within only if you're fighting really tough HNMs, since it bypasses Defense (though non-Defense physical damage reduction effects can still blunt it).

hmm is that the +7dex sword? if so it's not bad with fast blade i guess. or you could hold it on your off hand just for the dex.

Yep, Spirit within ONLY on NM/HNM with high defense.
