SO that might be why. I believe it works the same for sword as well.

They have an affinity for most bladed weapons.

Rhino guard is a killer, so is cocoon. But once you ge to CN, and then back to gustav with gobs, your ws's or rather, SATA will show normally too. Also, increase your agl. DEX is good, but so is AGL. your agl is pretty low, meaning the bonus from TA won't be as good.

I usually switch out to beetle +1 2x for +3 attack and battle gloves, then before ws and sata I switch back to drones (or genin, when I was 30-34) and my taru wonder mitts for +3 str.
I can't wear Drones yet, and I completely forgot about genins, so I'll have to pick one of those up. Other than that, thats the most agi I can have at my level.

And I can see why I would do less, also forgot about the rhino guard ability, maybe that affects it.

rhino guard increases the beetles evasion, so if your doing 300+ damage to it, your getting both hits. i don't know about viper bite at lvl 30ish but a lvl 40+ viper bite can do 600dmg ending it with a distortion skillchain. drg's and thf's go so well together.

Dagger is piercing type weapon. Most swords are slashing type although Rapier model swords are piercing. Mandys and bats both are weak to piercing type weapons. Beetles are strong to blunt but are neutral to piercing and slashing. Thus daggers will naturally be better on mandys, bats, flies, etc. and are not weakened on beetles. Pots, dolls and bones I believe are the only mobs that resist piercing.

Well as far as why the damage numbers you were getting with wasp sting and shadowstich. I have a theory for it, but probably have to test more. If the damage modification for it being criticals is dependant on their elements then you being a Taru should have pretty high INT and if I think Shadowstich has an INT modifier.

So maybe testing that with other players base off of INT and then some with DEX to measure. If that is the case then that'll explains a quandry I've always had with SA.

Oh, and as far I knew Pots and Dolls don't resist piercing. Otherwise a DRG would be poor choice for fighting those, yet they do great on Pots and Dolls.

Meh...i always notice crap WS dmg on them as thf with dagger...can hit 1.3k raging fist thf/mnk on ranps bones....can hit 1.3k dmg sharks on VT weapons in sky....highest WS on a T pot was i think...700? I dunno pots and dolls always seem to resist pierce to me...I could be wrong about that though.

Well not all daggers are considered piercing either some are actually slashing.

Uhm, there is no dagger I'm aware of that is slashing, well at least ones thf can use O.o would you care to name some? Even the harpe type weapon is piercing, though it looks like it could easily be slashing.
