Anyone have info on activating the latent yet?

A Sam on another forum said that while testing the Onimaru (equivalent great katana), his attack went down after he used meditate. I inferred from this that the latent is when under 100% TP since there are already other items of this kind. I do not know what the other latent triggers may be, but I figure some vague info is better than nothing. :p

From somepage, which may or may not be a guess from the same info as above:

A handful of weapons with higher damage Latent effects were added; these Latent effects seem to be activated when a character has less than 100% TP.

If his attack was changing though it'd be interesting to see if they all have hidden latents like the Onimaru and what they are.

Maybe I'm just a noober but wouldn't that make the utility of these weapons next to nil for Dagger at least?

Considering our DoT is pretty low due to comparatively low DMG base weaps it seems like these would just nerf what we are good at which is big dmg w/ sata+ws?

Use it in the offhand, won't effect ws damage as much.

It also depends on what you're doing; it wouldn't be as useful in xping or big fights as much as soloing for me, anyway.

Tried the BC and lost. Only few times I've seen people win The Hills are Alive is by manaburning it.

Blau Doch is one of the best weapons in the game for thief.

the latent is in effect any time you are below 100tp. Think about it. How often do thf build more than 100tp to try to hold it? that means that below 100tp, you have 28dmg and +16 attack (hidden latent-it's true, i have one). this is a great MAIN hand weapon, because since you get the higher base D AND +16 attack below 100tp, and when you use ws, you are below 100tp (ie. 0), you end up with the great stats of the weapon for your weapon skill as well.

Only 3 weapons in game have higher base damage for thf. Mandau (meaning most of us will never see it), Perseus Harpe (again, rare/ex drop, 31d, most of us will never see it, I'm 0-7 myself), and regular Harpe 29 D, 205 delay.

Blau Doch has only 178 delay, so it's faster than Misericorde, hits harder than just about anything out there, and gives you +16 attack. {Yes, Please.}

My current setup is Blau Doch main hand, Stylet offhand. And for those of you who hate on the stylet, why? It's at least on par if not better than the Gully +1 (which i also had, now on the AH since i got the blau doch).

Don't think it's as much that they're hating it, just hard as hell to get.
