Help with Maat

well record now is 0/2 :/ got my testimony's in cape terrigan which one of em took me over 6 hours to get. i have full steal equip and such. what i need to know is 2 things. one of em is that i need to know if cape terrigan is the easiest place to get a thf testimony from??? today i tried to get one in temple of ugh from a tonberry persuer and no dice after 3+ hours :/ so i gave up after 20+ steals on em with full steal equip. now my last thing is if you had a kraken club and wanted to proceed to beat the living daylights out of maat instead of risking a stupid steal again for my hard work to get the testimony how would i proceed on doing that??? >_> i know a icarus wing is a must but what healing potions should i bring and how many you think??? has anyone attempted to beat maat without stealing and just fighting him??? plz help as this is the only thing holding me back atm and it's so horrible and frustrating ><

And try tonberry shadowers in yhoator. To get to them, use main Temple entrance, hug right wall, exit to yhoator. These are easier than pursuers. (And it usually only took <10 steals, and I always killed one first, just in case another thf had the same idea before >.>)

For reference -- shadowers are 61-63, but pursuers are 61-67 >.>

I was all set to laugh at the rest of my linkshell for all the trials and tribulations they'd have to go through fighting maat, while I could just run up and steal from him, but now I don't care about that anymore. After all the arbitrary hoops that this old man has made me jump through, I can't wait to break his brittle old man hip in a legitimate streetfight.

great ideas. imma pwn that old man once and for all -_- thanks for the help guys i'll let you know how it goes. on a side note so shadowers do indeed have the scroll? O_o someone told me they didn't but if they do they'd be easier i think

Indeed shadowers have testimonies. Five of my six came from those.

Goblin Bandits in onzozo also carry testimonies, but I'm not sure if they're easier than the tonberries. I stole one accidentally when in an exp party XD

well im currently capping evasion for the fight ^^ @230 and gotta get to 251. only a few more lvls and i'm gonna attempt this. i'll post up how it goes when i fight em so future thief's that wanna fight em have some reference for fighting him

Yeps. Goblin Bandits have them too...pointed out the shadowers because they are the lowest level mob that has the item. >.>

Lower level = easier to steal, some say.
