Mimics >_<

After the update I got 3 mimics in a row from Castle Oz >_<

Anyone else having bad luck like me >_<''

I think it is just luck, As a level 55 thf i am around the Gusgen mines quite a bit, and some times i can go through 10 chests before i get a trapped chest, and some times (before the patch) i get hit with a trap 3 times in a row.

I have been fortunate to this date of not seeing a mimic.

Thats because Mimics are only on coffers, the chests arent a huge gil-giver so they dont trap em like coffers.

Um... Mind me asking why?... A treasure chest there would only give like what, 5k? Or is there somethign I don't know...

Mining

I mine there.

I seem to make better gil mining than I do farming drops.

I just wonder if I don't know the correct areas to do so, or my assumption that rich players arn't thieves, just ones with hatchets and pickaxes.

Hmm.. Yeah I figured you were there for mining, just made it sound like you farmed Treasure Chests there... lol...

Anyways, if you want good mining... Gusgen probably isn't the place. A good place I've used is Yughott Grotto... Not *normally* too busy and not a lot of competition, DS and Gold are the drops to look for from what I remember.

Another good one, is palborough mines. I realize that half of the stuff here you will end up dropping... but Platinum ore is rarely seen here, my 65 NIN buddy mines a TON for his NIN tools and such, and he got 3 plat in a 1 hour trip once... platinum ore is like 30k at least on my server, so thats a good 90k+/hour.. wicked.
