  • Some questions.Thinking about training THF again.

Hey all!I've recently obtained lvl 31 THF and ran to get the adv. jobs. I got SAM,NIN,RNG,SMN,BRD,DRG,and PLD. I've played them all to see which one I wanted to stick with.Ended up not liking most of them as much as THF.The reason I wanted to switch jobs in the first place was because the lack of party invites.I'm lvl 31 (was 32 but deleveled) and I have a couple questions.

    1. Should I train NIN for sub?I'm lvl 10 NIN now and I hate the dunes cuz of n00b parties!

    2. Are thfs usually pullers? I've gotten to lvl 31 without having to pull in a party once, is that true for higher lvls?I've had no exp pulling so i', thinking i'm pretty bad.

    3. Dagger or Sword?I've used a Sword all the way to 31, should I switch to Dagger instead.

    4. LFP! Is getting a party easier as the lvls go on or does it get worse?

    5. Where to train? Where do I go at lvl 32 and how do I get there.

Sorry for the long post ^^ PLz help if you can.
    Vannder Jobs:

    Thinking about lvling Thf again.

    1. Yes, in my personal opinion it is the best sub for THF, but that is just my opinion. Other people like warrior, and some like monk.

2.Yes, although some PT's like it if the RNG pulls. Pulling isn't very hard, you just have to know the area you are pulling in and you will be fine.

    3. In my opinion, sword until 33 then daggers all the way. It seems to me that SA+Fastblade is better than SA+Combo because the damage isn't too much less and it's a lot faster TP gain.

    4. Worse, unless you have a good reputation. Fortunately I do so I level up with the same couple of people and usually some random others. If my friends aren't online I start my own PT, although this can be frusterating it is usually a lot better than just running around with your LFP flag up.

    5. At level 32 I leveld up in Garlaige Citadel until I was level 35. Warning!! Garlaige (at least on my server) was usually packed and you had PT's lined up all the way to the exit, there are alternative places but that is the most popular one for that level. You can get there by going from Jeuno to Sauramogue(sp?) Champaigne and it's in the south western corner of the map. Once I hit 35 I started leveling up in the Crawlers Nest in Rolanberry.

        1) Warrior is a fine subjob. Beserk at 30 makes a difference. Plus because the thief dagger delay is so low, when the NIN dual wield abilities lower the delay, it can cause TP returned to be 5% while, the same dagger can return 6% on a THF/WAR. So the dual wield abiltity kinda evens out the tp gain. From 50-55 Double attack (plus the extra tp per swing) makes WAR sub just as good if not better. But 55-75 NIN is better because of triple attack. In the long run you want NIN and WAR both to 37. But I think at lower levels, THF/WAR is fine.

        2) Thieves are often the pullers because of Flee and Perfect Dodge. For THF/WAR Defender can reduce damage when bringing in a pull, while for THF/NIN Utsusemi: Ichi does the same.

        3) You should make sure your dagger skill is leveled up, and switch to it full time at 33 when you get Vper Bite.

        4) I don't remember the 30s being that hard. The 50s have been brutal for me. Its making me doubt wanting to keep THF

Starting at 4 since the previous have all the data already provided.

For the 4th question it will get tougher for a while. Not to many people understand how THF works and so doing your job to it's fullest becomes tough, especially when the tank won't setup for a Fuidama correctly. So the party might end up doubting the usefulness of the THF only because they were to ignorant to listen and do their part so that the THF can do his effectively.

At lv. 32 Garliage Citadel probably is the best spot. Should be able to reach lv. 35 fast. At 35 Crawler's Nest for a while, can go to like 45 or something there.
