partys......waiting.......HELP ME

im a lv 12 thf and got there very easily within about a day. But now, for some odd reason i have to wait several HOURS just to get in an invite in dunes or in taroghi canyon. Its so frustrating i might just start a new char,can someone help me out? what should i do?

make ur own party or solo till 16 (Soloing till 16 is easy)

I’m too lazy to hunt down the other post, but I’m going to paraphrase one of the other forum regulars here. Something he said on this topic really stuck with me:

“Thieves are useless in a party pre-15, so I ended up soloing to level 15. I didn’t join any parties because any party that would invite me obviously didn’t know what they were doing.�

This is so very, very true, and extremely funny (personally, I soloed to 14). Let me give you some advice: thieves never get flooded with party invites. Ever. It gets worse after 45 or so, too. If you want to always have a group waiting for you, I’d recommend taking whitemage to 30, then bard to 75. And you don’t have to start a brand new character, you can just pick a new class and see if that works any better for you.

I have no idea what your talking about.. THFs are one of the top wanted classes in a party... Atleast parties that know what they are doing.. No Job can out damage a THF (Except Ranger) till around 65...

THFs get massive invites as long as you have good equipment.

Soloing without a sub is harder though.
I would suggest soloing to 13 then you can jsut start taking snipper parties at dunes.
Lizzie parties are where you encounter the largest amout of morons.

i leveled warrior first then did sub quest. you will still need to wait for invites but at least you can backup voke so ppl will want you more than a regular thf. plus if its really bad you can do provoke + perfect dodge, i saved a bunch of parties with that.

i soloed 0-16 on my first job.. I got 13-16 in 4 hrs in La Thiene O_o

i did that as well lol, as you have the seek flag on, i'd solo in kon or la thiene at the same time once you get to 15 though people love you and youll get parties really fast

Your first job was a monk wasn't it
I couldn't pull it off with any other job. As a buddy of mine put it (refering to leveling mnk for his sub): "I never had to heal once, whenever I was low on HP is just leveled"
Regardless, you can still solo pretty fast from DCs and tons of EPs which go down fast at that level. Not sure how fast a theif can take them, but with warrior I could one shot kill with my gaxe.

thf will be slow, even with food and good equipment i wouldnt suggest using dagger though until you get gust slash so you can do a damage attack with your tp instead of just poisoning the thing. i used h2h and sword when solo. i still continue to keep all 3 capped for renkei purposes (which no one bothers to use at this level anyway lol)

obviously i really hate waiting for partys so im gunna take yur advice and solo till likr 15 or 16, but where should i solo? It seems im a little too weak to take on harder monsters cus i admit it that theifs are very weak at early levels. But where should i raise??????

solo in la thiene or konschtat (spelling?) while your seek party on so you get some xp while lfp

Ok, here’s the advice that was given to me at level 6 by my whm friend who outpaced me in soloing. It has served me well and has helped along all the others that have received this advice:

Stop Being A Dumbass By Attacking Things That Will Kill You!

The subtitle is: a steady stream of 12-18xp easy preys is way, way better than decent challenges that will kill you 1 in 5 times. There’s substantially less downtime.

I leveled 12-14 in Ghelsba (the orc fort off of west ron), it was a pretty good place. But I’d probably agree with the rest of the group. Leveling in latheine with your LFG flag up is probably the best way to go.

Also, its probably out of your budget, but meat mithkabobs are so great for soloing. You hit about 25% harder, but they’re around 240 gil and last for 30 minutes assuming you don’t die.

i just hit 13 with a whm that pwr leveled me. Everything seems a little easier now, but i think im gunna pay 3000 to get pwr leveled again to lv 14, then go to la theine at 14
