You got to get good distance on the mob where he isn't in
attacking ranged then you hide or when the mob is facing
away from you then you hide .. it'll clear up your agro ..
what i think ... Think he is referring to is when you get
a mimic that you attempt to run away from it untill you get
that "you are being drawn" message .. and you keep getting it
spammed on you but he is to far to actually hit you .. at this point
you hide then you can move beyond that being drawn message.

If he means by another method than i have no clue what
hes talking about and i've been hunting coffers/chest for a while

I just stole a gold beastcoin from an Orcish Dragoon in Monastic Cavern. I have been unsucessful after that though. probably 1/7 so far.

Trying to steal from Farkiller and Doughnuts or whatever and Dragoon.... blagh. I give up.
Maybe better when I'm higher level or just need some Steal+1 stuff...

Firstly regarding hide. There is 2 main purpose of hide in Oztroja coffer hunt, 1st is of course to get into brass statue room and secondly, it is to allow you to reset hate from the yagudoes should you aggro any of them while opening a coffer. Aggroing a mob while opening a coffer is very common, i have seen so many ppl done that. For yagudo type mob, all you have to do is to use hide and he will ignore you. It matters not if he is near or far from you or whether he is facing you or not. There is wat makes hide so useful, it resets hate. But only from selected type of mobs.

I know stealing gold coins is very tempting to many thfs out there but please do not forget, when you steal you aggro, when you run to zone you are pulling that mob. Please do not do this when you know there are ppl at zone line fighting. To them, you are just trying to MPK them.

West altepa F-6. Zone in and you will see a spider near the zone point. Just use flee run pass him and steal from the nearest antican round the bend. Its very near only. Then turn around and run to zone. Should be able to get you safely out of there before you take too much damage. You may wanna sub whm and use sneak so that you can walk all the way up to the antican, steal from him, before running out of there. Safer this way too. You cannot use hide against anticans and spiders..

Thanks for the guide Miffy I invis my way around Davoi for like 30 minutes and found Monastic Cavern. There was a 2 person party at the entrance so I went in deeper to the next zone that led to Davoi. This way you can steal from either zone. I could only do it from one though becuase a rdm was soloing for like an hour an a half. I managed to steal 3 gold coins, (1/3 trys on one monster, twice and once on one monster). These were on all Dread.

And who doesn't lie Spider-Dan? I had the money for the rings and was going to buy them that die till Miffy said the latent effect. Not really a lie if it's going to happen, but it didn't so I did lie rofl.

What does the name of the item have to do with anything? Was there some other Steal+3 ring that's NOT rare that you confused the name with?

Oh..and btw the item I was talking about was a weapon (lust dagger) I got it confused with the weapon that has +7 Agi and -1 Dex so forth. Becuase i'm still on the Japanese version I never knew the name.

Hide doesn't reset your agro against orcs unfortunetly
But its a beautiful thing againsts yags .. if you don't
have a mob casting on you or ranged attacking you

Btw how the hell do you get into the brass idol room
i stand there like a noob healing mps till someone opens
the door and i sneak on in behind em
only creative way i can think of is if a mob is close to the door
have it agro you going through the door thus opening it
and you hide and walk right on in.

btw the rogue ring is by far the best 35k i spent it has
earned its worth a hundred folds .. be creative on getting
the latent effect to activate

There is a difference between saying, "I'm going to buy these Steal + 3 rings and hopefully make 20k an hour," and "I currently make 20k an hour with my two Steal + 3 rings equipped."

And actually, I haven't lied on the forums. Sure, I've been mistaken. But I've never went to the AH, looked at some bows, and then said, "I consistently do 1500+ damage with my Sidewinder and bow [x]." (my RNG is LV24)

When you get into the realm of making stuff up and saying that you already do it, you might as well start throwing posts out of the window. How are we supposed to tell when a post is a lie and when it's real? In this case, it was obvious because you can't equip two of those rings, but what if it wasn't so clear-cut?

So what I lied about something that was going to happen but didn't (for reason that i'm not going to say). And plus it wasn't that bad either. I could have just as easily went to Altepa, Davoi, or other places and stolen mythril coins and half of the lie would have been true. So, just cut your shit and stay on topic. And plus, for the 50000000000 thousand time you no brainer flamers that have nothing to do but tell other people what they did wrong. I was wrong about the rings jesus, i've already said that.

FYI: If you go past Monastic Cavern into the other side and re enter Davoi, be very carefull about people that may be zoning there. Although, you can steal from both sides just be carefull. Some monsters do about 200 damage per hit.

Okay...I also wanted to know one thing about stealing, would stealing from behind increase your chances of a steal or not? I've heard this floating around in game and just wanted to know >.>
