if anyone sees anything wrong in my logic, let me know, better than to be flamed for incorrect information than play the rest of your days misinformed.
1 DEX = +2 accuracy
1 STR = +2 attack
1 AGI = +2 evasion
right? but if they were completely equal then why the different words at all? why can't everything be +DEX or +STR or +AGI. the fact is, they're not the SAME, they are different.
in picking my gear, i always choose the direct attribute modifiers over the +accuracy or +attack for a thf. for example, i would choose the merc capt gloves with the +1 AGI over the battle gloves with the +3 accuracy and +3 evasion. this is because a thf's bread and butter is his SA+TA+WS combo. SA being directly tied to your Dex, and TA to your AGI. and it always hits, so why worry about accuracy? only when i have to will i choose the attack modifiers when another armor piece does not offer the +AGI or DEX bonus.
the filler damage (between the SA's) is important i guess... and in a long fight the +accuracy or +attack may come out to more than the +1 AGI added to your TA SA combo, but that's a matter of opinion... there shouldnt be much left of the enemy anyway when u hit twice with your combo.
my question is: does the +attack modifier influence the SA+TA+WS, and if so, how much? tonight im going to equip an onion knife and see what the difference is, hope my party doesnt get pissed off.
i guage the effectiveness of my thf on the damage he pulls on a successful fuidama. at lvl 33, i pulled 373 damage NOT including renkei damage. and with only +8 dex and +5 AGI i don thtink that's too bad.
