Would a SMN/RDM work out? And another question, say I had 10 INT and I was a WHM, now I cast cure and it cures 10 HP. Now, say I had 10 INT and I was a RDM and I cast cure. Would I cure the same amount? Is the amount of HP restored based on how much INT you have?

INT = Black magic spells
MND = White magic spells
So I think you meant MND in your first post...
I have not played yet but since no experts have posted yet I'll say what I believe to be the case...
Stats affect spell power not class... BUT a lvl 30 Hume WHM will have slightly higher MND than a lvl 30 RDM (if they have same equip) so therefore, WHM will do better at healing...
Also, there are different levels of the cure spell and WHM gets them sooner (Cure III WHM at 21, RDM at 26)
But all of this does not mean a SUM/ RDM would be bad though (that's what I want to be someday).

SMN/WHM is still the best combo.....because of curega of spells...i would rather have SMN/WHM over SMN/RDM .......only whm can use curega spellsNadyxes
lvl 75 whm/ 37 blm/ 26 thf/ 65 rdm/ 26 war/ 56 mnk/anon bst/ 15 brd/ 5 rng/ 9 pld/ drk N/A (to lazy to do quest)/ 37 SMN/ 1 sam/ 2 nin/ 5 drg

One thing mainly affects how much curing you can do. It is your recovery magic skill. Since summon job is main and the other job is sub, your recovery magic skill would be significantly low.
Example:
whm main has a skill of about 100 in recovery magic
summon/whm would have about 50
WHM's cure1 does about 31 or 40 sometimes, SMN cure1 does around 29 or 30.
Boosting MND stat helps having more "higher" cures often, also. I've tested this by spending time leveling with HolyFiral necklace (MND+) and with SpikeNecklace (MND-6).
I wouldn't consider SMN/RDM until level 60+ or maybe 70+. For one thing you can get dagger skills, SMN can wear dagger. Then there's fast cast, and possibly in the far off future, MP Refresh..
