• Post update: Macros still work, new timers.

Ok, just checked the post update to make sure we wouldn't need to update everyone's macros prior to partying. I can confirm now that any macro beginning with:

    /pet "Bloodpact Name Here" <t/bt/st>

still works pretty much the way it did before. So, for those of you slowly updating the files and dreading logging on to find everything changed on you, I'll reiterate:

    1. Black is not white.
    2. Up is not down.
    3. Cats and dogs are not living together.
    4. All your macros still work after the BP timer change.

The only thing that does seem to have changed is the timers on the bloodpacts. You now have two separate timers instead of the 1 min timer for all pacts. If you're scrolling through the menus to use a pact, you'll notice the change. If you've macro'd everything to the point where you can just mash your CRTL/ALT + # hotkey, you're not going to notice a difference.

Can you /recast your blood pact seperately?

All of the buff/healing BP's are on one timer, while all the offensive/attack/magic BP's are on the other timer, so basically you can BP twice every 60 seconds (or whatever your timer normally is) with one attack and one heal/buff. It basically lets us spend our MP twice as fast. Woot.

To be honest, I don't use /recast on any of my SMN macros for bloodpacts. (Probably cause I crowd them into 6-7 line macros and such). That said, I can't really think of a reason it wouldn't work if it did before. From what I've seen, nothing other than organization and splitting them into two timers has changed.

From my /recast tests, I don't know how to make this command actually work with a bloodpact timer. So far, /recast "Shining Ruby" is giving me a line of: "Shining Ruby: 0:00", (no matter how long ago I used it), in /echo chat colors. Before, I normally just mashed the macro til it actually worked, and it'd tell me in lovely purple text exactly how long it was going to take. It's doing the same thing now, so I'm guessing there's your /recast.

Actually I recognized the Bill Murray quote from Ghostbusters too, but couldn't find a link to it... lol.

              /recast "Blood Pact: Rage"

              and

              /recast "Blood Pact: Ward"

              Doesn't work?

                    These work now:
/recast "Blood Pact: Rage"
                    /recast "Blood Pact: Ward"
This does NOT:
/recast "Blood Pact"
