Shiva Fight!

~10 minute ago, I got killed by Shiva. I have thought over how I did it, and discovered what went wrong. Here is how it went (I use a mix of my own Strat and guides.)

-enter the battle zone-
*Casts Protect
*Casts Aquaveil
-ran to "the bend"-
*Summons Carbuncle
*Uses Yagudo Drink

*Carbuncle Assault Siva Prime
*uses Astral Flow
*uses Searing Light
~Searing Light 210~
-runs down to the crystal-
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Carbuncle is defeated by Shiva Prime
*Summons Carbuncle
*Carbuncle Assault Shiva Prime
*Uses Ether
*Uses Searing Light
~Searing Light 210~ (about here, i'm thinking I have it in the bag, still over
180hp left)

-start to run to pit-
!~look at Carbies health, see him at a sliver~!
I start to panic
*Carbuncle is defeated by Shive Prime
*Summons Carbuncle
Shiva Prime hits Chaster
*Chaster's casting is interupted (I am panicing like crazy right now)
*Summons Carbuncle
Shiva Prime hits Chaster
*Chaster's casting is interupted
*Uses Hi-Potion
*Summons Carbuncle
*Hits the Searing Light Macro...

I noticed, I paniced..a little before used Searing Light#2....and hesitated to start running...
That 1~2 seconds of hesitation caused my defeat >.>;;;


But tomorrow is another day....and Shiva will DIE!!!

Congratulations on Leviathan! I usually went with the 2 searing light method on Shiva... it took much longer to kite her down to 60% before popping off Astral Flow, but it seemed to be a bit easier on the timing if I got stuck somewhere and had to fudge the timing of the 2nd Searing Light.

Also, remember that popping off Astral flow where you can't see Shiva's hp anymore pretty much negates any aggro you'd get from doing it. That'll help keep her from moving while you're waiting for Searing Light to fire after signaling it. This way, you just have to deal with the aggro from signalling a Blood Pact for SL instead of that aggro + the massive 2hr spike.

I'm excited about these fights I'm getting a little close, and I'm gonna soro all these fights and then go fight the Primes with some friends for the Whispers, I just wanna get all of the avatars myself that I can But, the fights seem fun and like they'd be a good challenge, go after Shiva again, and Congrats on Leviathan! :D
