Looking For Avatar Battles. Please Help!

I'm looking for any ingame video clips of all the SMN mini avatar battles, (Garuda, Ifrit, Ramuh e.t.c) and I'm wondering if anyone has ever recorded any in the past.

I found and downloaded a few from a site which someone had made, and have enjoyed watching the fun too, but the person who made them had covered up the actual ingame background music with some bad ass head banging music, which is really not the kind of thing I like.

I'm aware that some players don't always like the ingame music in some parts of the game and tend to switch it off to listen to music of their own choice.
I've always liked the ingame music and never like to cover it up with anything else.

Anyway...... I'm just looking for any videos of the mini SMN battles with the proper ingame music during the battles (I'm rather interested in what it sounds like) instead of some other music covering it over.

You have both provided me with links which contain very useful and very helpful info for when I get to do my avatar battles at LvL 20.
Those are very helpful links indeed, so thanks a lot for those!

However, the link to the avatar videos which were posted by "Azzam" - those were the ones I mentioned when I said that I had downloaded some from a site which used horrible head banging music to cover up the real ingame music during the avatar battles. This is the very LAST thing I want to watch!

What I want to see, are avatar battles using the correct ingame music and not something else to cover it up! *SHEESH!*

Are there any FFXl smn avatar vids been made with the proper music?
Is there anyone who knows if any have been made, and where I can find them at please?

Step 2: Install FRAPS

Step 3: Level SMN to 20

Step 4: Make video yourself

EDIT: In case this isn't crystal clear, your response is like saying "I want only raspberry banana ice cream!" when you walk into Baskin Robbins. Does it ever occur to you that maybe, just maybe, such battle videos don't exist because most people don't like/are bored of the original game music?

NO WAY! ABSOLUTELY NOT!

I find it waayyy more enjoyable to watch other players being put through their paces in these avatar battles instead. It helps to watch what they do so that I can remember it, and copy some of the stuff, like what potions to drink when, and also, when to cast carby and the carby spells like Searing Light e.t.c.

If someone out there could kindly make one for me, (I would ask very politely of course) then it would be of some help at least.

Raspberry banana ice cream??!! - What on EARTH...... is that?! Raspbery Ice cream, maybe, (I can remember eating this a few years back from a shop somewhere) but Banana Ice ceram....... NO! Never seen it...... anywhere!

And WHO...... is Baskin Robbins? Is he some Ice cream seller guy based in another country somewhere, because I have absolutely never heard of him!

How do YOU know that the majority of FFXl game players don't like, or get bored of the original game music? It could be a 50/50 split for all you know! There HAS TO BE at least SOME players who still love the original gaming music as much as when they first started, otherwise what is the point of SE creating it all in the very first place? They might as well make an update to FFXl and take out all the background music. That would REALLY..... do the game some justice wouldn't it?.......... somehow, I don't think so!!

Anyway....... I'm quite sure I remember downloading a couple of avatar battle video clips about 3-4 days ago which had the correct ingame music, but these were a kind of a tester because the player had failed the battle.
So I must have watched one, on one of those sites you can upload your own clips, then closed the web page when it was finished. The only thing is, I can't remember the site address of where I watched one. *sigh!*

Because it's me personally, I've never had the chance to have a good listen to what the avatar battle music sounds like, and I would REALLY and ABSOLUTELY LOVE to get a good feel for it.

I know that there are players who must have heard it over a zillion times by now, but it seems like I'm the only one who hasn't, here? So PLEASE....... just take that into consideration and understanding here, if you will.

In the time you've spent searching for a video, you could have just done the battles and experienced the fight AND the music firsthand. It honestly does not take that long.

(And if you say at this point that you don't have Summoner levelled to 20 yet, then why on God's green earth are you even interested in these battles?)

Baskin Robbins is the largest ice cream manufacturer in the United States. Looking at your profile, it appears you're in the U.K. but honestly, 3 seconds with Google would have informed you.

Has the world come to the point where people just aren't willing to take some chances and actually explore things for themselves? Very sad, if so. It's not necessary to have a strategy guide and full walkthrough to accomplish things in FFXI. How do you think all these walkthroughs and posted strategies were documented? Someone had to actually try and see what worked.

If you can't accomplish something as simple as the level 20 mini-fork fights without spending hours poring over video and complaining that the background music isn't to your liking, then you should honestly consider not playing this game any further. There are many, many more difficult and complex tasks than these very brief 2-3 minute battles.

i know we are all a little short with our patience on snowball, but do you think it is wise to be so "blunt" with her Icemage?

I don't buy her(his??) innocent facade anymore. No one is this pathetic. Look at the excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Ignore the content for a moment and really study it. Do they look like someone who can't possibly understand a 3 minute battle? I certainly don't think so.

Yes, I know we've seen Snowball post some abominably stupid questions in the past, but let's face it: Being nice didn't help. Being kind didn't help. Pointing at the Search function didn't help. Hell, pointing at extremely complete walkthroughs didn't help.

I'm tired of mollycoddling Snowball. She/he/it runs and demands answers from us like we're parental figures, and I'm just not in the market for that sort of foolishness any longer.

So, are you watching the videos to help you beat them or for entertainment value? Or both?

If its for strategy tips, then just turn the volume off. Knowing what music is playing during the battle won't help you win it.
If its for entertainment, then go through them and make them yourself.
If its for both, then watch the ones you have with the volume turned down, then when you go do them, record them and save them for posterity.
Though it would be nice if you could what you want all in one lump sum, sometimes it just doesn't work out like that. Atleast this way you can get all of what you want with a little more work, and you get the experience of doing it yourself and can show the video off to your friends.
