The only reason I said "Retard" is because this topic "What is the best sub for SMN?" is way beyond it's usefulness. Only on extreme type situations will you sub anything other then WHM. /BRD for SMN burn parties for example, but how often do those occur ingame, not often. Point is, WHM is THEE best sub for SMN you can debate this all you want to, 99/100 times an exp party will want you to sub /WHM. I posted on another thread somewhere here about all you guys not wanting to main heal, fine, SMN can solo 75% of the time 1-lvl75, instead of whining about main healing, look up the levels of mobs in an area, see what types you could solo against, ie worms+ bombs+ snolls, and go do it. But please stop asking what the best sub is for SMN, even when i solod as SMN i subbed whm for stoneskin, blink, cures. Please stop asking what the best sub for SMN is!

like i said it might not be the best but the point of this game is fun and if you play this game to be the best quit now as one of the people who play for fun will come out better then you

Hmm... so then logically, someone who has fun playing the game by using the right job combonation would be even stronger than someone using a gimp subjob and having fun with it (i.e. - YOU) and someone using the right job combo because they're forced to. So, by your logic, we're all better than you.

Get over yourself. Just because you throw out a lot of big passionate statements about how you're playing the game how you want to play it and how you're having fun doesn't make you right. All you're doing is making yourself sound stupid, frankly. Its a well known fact that /WHM is the best subjob for Summoner for the vast majority of the time. Either learn to accept that, or continue being a gimp. Don't try to poison other people with your misguided opinions.

I have fun by being the best <insert job here> I can be, so I guess that's kind of a lucky stroke.

It would be quite unfortunate to be someone who had lots of fun by playing a largely ineffective main/sub combination and pissing other people off in-game. I assume they have lots of fun IRL with that mentality, too.

If you want to xp quickly, sub /whm. White mage sub is going to be what people are looking for more often. You will get fast pt invites and level fastest this way.
Other subs for summoner are really most useful for smn at a higher level and most are non party xp related. Hope that helps out, good luck.
