Don't use <bt>, really messes things up links, etc.

As long as each pact uses different avatars, you can stick multiple pacts in one macro. There's tons of things you can do for SMN macros, I'd take a look at that post.

            I use something like this:

            Buff:
            /p {Summoner} {Party} {Enhancing Magic} in 3 {second}s
            /wait 3
            /pet "Aerial Armor" <me>
            /pet "Shining Ruby" <me>
            /pet "Frost Armor" <me>
            /pet "Rolling Thunder" <me>

            Nuk2:
            /pet "Stone II" <t>
            /pet "Water II" <t>
            /pet "Aero II" <t>
            /pet "Fire II" <t>
            /pet "Blizzard II" <t>
            /pet "Thunder II" <t>

            Singl:
            /pet "Double Punch" <t>
            /pet "Tail Whip" <t>
            /pet "Claw" <t>
            /pet "Axe Kick" <t>

            AOE:
            /pet "Thunderspark" <t>
            /pet "Rock Buster" <t>

            Heal:
            /pet "Healing Ruby" <stpc>

I substitute a given avatar's most powerful ability of the class each time I level up. Eventually, I'll probably need multiple macros, but this is kind of how I set up. You get a lot of failure messages when the pacts aren't available, but it makes the number of macros able to fit in your available space. Your alternative would be to make a different macro group for each avatar and just Shift-Up Shift-Down between them, but that doesn't seem palatable to me...

Also with respect to using <bt>, I type (manually) one of the following at the start of the battle:

            1. /assist <px> [where x is the numeric position of the tank--yourself = 0, use after the tank draws weapon/vokes]
            2. /target <bt> [this brings a similar danger to <bt> in macros, because if the BLM/BRD/RDM/etc. sleeps on something, you'll target it instead and wake it up].

            and sometimes I...

            /lockon

I usually do not engage the monster. /lockon restricts your movement, so I only use it occasionally.

Yeah later on you'll need more, for example, Garuda has two buffs.. Hastega and Aerial Armor. Fenrir has Ecliptic Hown and Ecliptic Growl, so I have BUFF1 and BUFF2 Macros...

Huh, worked for me. I even copy/pasted it into another browser to double check. ><

Anyway, I had done a search of "summoner macro", since there are a LOT of topics on this.

heh weird. When I click it tells me "no topics available for this search. Please try again". But it must just be my browser
