Question about Fenrir

I just beat the last of the avatars doing the capped versions, do I now have to fight the uncapped ones before activating the quest or can I activate it get the regular forks without the fame needed regularly to fight them and then get Fenrir, I'm not worried about Diablos yet since I'm not to the mission I need in order to get him...

Any answers would be great and much appreciated...

To get the Moon Bauble (Fenrir Key item) you have to get the whispers from the Prime (uncapped) battles.

Damit, I was hoping that now that I have them I could just fight the uncapped ones without the fame...
