Welcome everyone ^^ I've been a user of FFXIO (as many of us refer to this place) since February 2003. I won't try to insult your intelligence by telling you that everything is always perfect here, but I DO think that we have friendlier and more helpful people in our forums than on some of those OTHER sites. It's not very likely to hear someone tell you that you're a noob because you asked an honest question or insult you because you don't have some piece of equipment or other. It's a pretty relaxed atmosphere and I think you'll enjoy it.

I used to live in japan hehe, its why im so profficient.
That and I normally speak "normal" JP talk rather than "classroom" JP.
Wanna know something, i think i'd fail a NA japanese class. Because I never learned formal JP just normal talk and everyday usage JP.

Its kinda like english, You have a proper way to greet folks, and you have the normal way everyday people meet Folks.

English
Proper: Hello, I'm Tazirai, Pleased to make your aquintance, you are?
Informal: Hi, Im Tazirai, Whats up?

Japanese is the same way, I didnt use a JP example above because of grammer, It comes across easier in english.

JP
Proper: konnitiha,watashi no namae ha Tazirai Desu, hajimemashite. anata Dare ka
Informal: Konnitiha,Tazirai desu. Hajimemashite Anata ha?

I see, i see, thanks for clarifying that out. I wish i could actually learn japanese! My interest towards learning it increases day by day

I actually only speak a little formal Japanese from my trips there,
it's not much tho just saying hello, asking directions, ordering food and asking the prixe on things is as far as I can get.

However when on vacation there that's basicly all you need.

But to other new peoples like me, welcome to these wonderful boards
