I'd rather have a summon that has some resemblance to bahamut, the king of summons, than a 3-headed dog....but that's just me.

Before I started playing, I only really wanted shiva and ramuh. I was quite happy to find out that both of them were added into the game. Anything after that is eye-candy for me. >_>a

Well, that is no longer is a choice since we got diabolos. But If i were given the option back then, I would have choosen Diabolos

If we can just get Odin, Alexander, and Phoenix, all will be good. Thats my opinion, at least. Cerberus would be cool, but honestly he wasn't ever really one of my favorite summons.

I never really tought of this but.... I dont think that alexander would work for this game. IIRC in most FF versions he is like a summon that stays still and does not move. Correct me if Im wrong, but I am almost certain of this. Given that, i do not see Alexanderr as an option for an avatar.

Odin, I still think if we get him he will not be the odin we all know. That one kill move would cause severe game galances imo.

Pheonix, on the other side, is what I think the most probable summon to come.

SE has already stated they will be adding new avatars, they are not sure just wich. We are all talking about phoenix, cerberus, odin etc. But what about Ixion, Siren, Pandemonium, Quetzacolatl, Madeen etc.

Any comments?

I think we need to stop dreaming tooo much. Doomstrain? I dont even think that avatar is remotely possible and here are my reasons.

1. Nothing in the actual world of vanadiel relates to a train of doom. It simply does not fit the world FFXI takes place in . The rest of the avatars, are pretty much "universal" and fit perfectly the theme of this game.

2. Doomstrain has only been on FF8, and I can guaratnee you that it wasnt something that people are dying for. I am not saying that just because he has only been in one FF it will not be here. I mean, we have Diabolos, and IIRC he has only been in FF8 TOO. The HUGE difference is that Diabolos was VERY appealig and way too cool. It became IMO an instant classic for many fans. And CoP's storyline, and the "darkness" theme made it perfect for Diabolos to be implemented.

Unless SE comes up with a stupid idea in ToA of the cursed train of hell that vanished the fast east, (end of sarcasm) I can almost conftim you that doomstrail wont ever see light in vanadiel.

Cerberus should be lightning based
Alexander should be light based
Phoenix should be fire based

This way we can have 2 avatars per element.

This really isnt on topic, but I was really impressed with Garuda for wind element, she's turned out to be my favorite (just above Ifrit).
I was most disappointed with Leviathan. Being a Sea Dragon, he should be the size of a fricking ship, not a tiny little worm. They would have to size down Bahamut drastically and i think that would be silly

if Alexander DID! become a summon .... yea right ... he would prob be some kind of Weapon like the Orcs have but more Machine like and have like Missiles lol XD.

Bahamut will never be a summon in FFXI Because hes a Main Boss. and i can predict Cerberus is gona be harder than him <.< . but i think its BS how someone can Tame him.

The orcs didn't have a weapon. What blew up tavnazia was the sword, "lightbringer", and the orcs didn't use it, one of those tavnazian prince dhamels did.

Although it turns out that tavnazia really wasn't blown up, but access to it was cut off until it was restored during the CoP storyline.

I always figured Ixion was just the FFX and X-2 version of Ramuh as a horse. Never really thought about making another lightning version. Suppose its possible though. I still wish they would have made Knights of the Round some special BP from a knight summon, rather than a near impossible to obtain ws that I'll never see.
I agree, Pheonix would be the most likely and would be kill to see a summon with the ability to raise. Odin would be awesome to see just for the 6-legged horse that he better be riding. Alexander would just seem, odd.
