    Font doesn't bother me too much. Now if it was all in yellow or pink, or something else really hard to read...that might be annoying.

    I honestly can't think of a good idea to make SMN pure damage without causing major balance issues. Even my double attack suggestion would definately cause problems on things like EP soloing. (Avatars hit like a truck on too weaks and easy preys, at least at high levels.) But the double attack would allow SMN to gain TP faster (on their avatar, of course) for magic bursting, to help out on those lower levels.

    And simply raising their damage on ITs would probably do little, thanks to perpetuation costs. It would probably just make the MP spent on perpetuation costs not be so high of a price, unless they drasticially raise the amount of damage avatars do on melee hits.

    What I feel the problem with making blood pact timers be seperate for each avatar would be major endgame unbalancing. You'd have people fighting some HNM of some-such, with about 15 SMN on the sidelines, being cycled in faster than suicidal BLMs.
    Summon > 400 damage > release/summon > 400 damage > release/summon > 400 damage, and repeat until they run out of MP...just to be cycled in for a new one. You'd have none of the normal hate issues caused by BLMs doing something similar, and none of the weakness sicknesses either.

    I think they're in a pretty bad spot on how to adjust SMN. They can't really do a universal damage increase, or major blood pact timer decrease, without causing potential high level balance problems. But I do think that low and (especially) mid level SMN can be difficult, and underpowered.

      I think Odin well be one 2..BUT I think it well come liked he did in FFVIII rare but when did, he owned!..but maybe a new 2 hour or soemthing..Cerberus form the update on their site sounds like he'll be a summon.. ..XD

      Just a idea. though..I dont nothing about smn in FFXI .XD

      they need to added the 3 mage sisterXD..talk about pwning somethign XD

        Well there is news on the ATH Urgan Page concerning Cerberus.

        He is described as a quite Hostile Beeing attacking people but and that gives me lots a hope it also said he got "Tamed" already by a mercant.
        Hmm i dunno if there is a New Ava its most likely him.

                    I have to admit that the SMN job is complex. How to make us stornger withour breaking balance?

                    Let me ask you this guys.... Is it fair to see how BLM own then they spam their spells, or the INCREDIBLE damange they can do when they burst light or dark? Yes they get alot of agro, but SMN could do that.... why not? I mean, when you form a praty, you can get ok... a tank and a whm, and for DD you have options, RNG, SAM, WAR, DRG, MONK etc... A party wihout a BLM goes much much slower. I have recently started leveling blm, and I am currently level 51 BLM, and I do notice how much better my parties work. Making the summoenrs do more damage at endgame with bloodapcts wont break the games balance IMO.

                    I could be wrong, I could be asking for too much... but I do think that SMN is a job that needs to be fixed.

                    Any comments guys?

                          How about enforce our sj ability avatars? I mean, we can turn on/enforce our avatars to "provoke" when we sj war. Another example is, we can ask our avatars to SATA when we sj thf. It can make us more choices on subjob. I also agree that they should improve our end game damage. Since, in previous version of FF, Smn was the job who had highest damage output. They should at least enhance our 2hrs damage after 70... currently my 70bp can outdamage my 2hrs easily. They can also consider to give us the 10mins timer "seal" and a higher version of max mp boost.

                              Suggestion: <pettp> to keep Avatars out for free.

                              Ok I just thought of a way for them to keep Avatars out without breaking our job or hurting other people's jobs.

                              The whole point was to keep Avatars out to melee and maybe perform skill chains correct? What if the Avatar's TP was directly corrolated to that? Meaning if for each 10% of TP that our Avatar's are out, they are given -1 to perpetuation?
                              at 100% tp our pets would have -10 to perpetuation making keeping them out to melee worthwhile. Of course using any Bloodpacts would immediately be like using up 100% tp, but then all the blood pacts would be re-inforced to use that TP to make it more 1) accurate 2) stronger (300% tp Predator Claw ~ 2100 damage on IT)

                              Of course then, you wouldn't be able to get any MP back save for refresh & ballad songs & refresh items (v. cloak, Yin Yang). Meaning if you have Diabolos out for 300% tp you still would only regen for 1/3 sec while wearing a v. cloak.

                              EDIT: I thought about this some more, (while running from Zi'tah to Ro'meave) between 0% to 199% tp you would do normal damage with blood pacts, between 200% to 299% tp you would do 2x normal damage with blood pacts, @ 300% tp you do 3x normal damage with blood pacts.
