Re: Macro setup of the future .. ?

Personally I would NOT make a <bt> macro. Because sometimes if you have a sleeping mob nearby, it will target and attack that instead of the mob you're currently fighting.

    And to PotentPotables:
Wouldn't, your macro be the same as:
    /ma "Cure" <t>
    /wait 5
    /recast "Cure"
Rodin - Ragnarok Server (Out of Retirement)

Why the hell would you need a full pallette for gear swaps? I have 5 different gear sets (Ninjutsu, WS, TP build, DEF and EVA) that I macro in/out and it only takes up 5 slots in one pallette. Even with that, I have every Elemental Justu macro'd, all my enfeebles (Except Dokumori) Jin and Ten, Zerk, Voke, Ni and Ichi. Either the above quote is bullshit, or a severe over-complication.

It's not overcomplication isf it works for him.

My LS gave me heat because I have a heal macro and a standup macro (which changes to resting gear and combat gear respectively). And I have another that gives me my DEF gear in case I get hate...

They all thought it was stupid. But it works real well for me. Macros are made for customization, so... to each their own.

          No.

I was hitting on the point that either:

A> More macro lines would be nice.

          -or-

B> Combined Commands would be nice. Therefore, my macro would only take "2" lines, instead of "3".

I ended up putting a macro similar to that on my WHM. Equips earth staff and jelly ring. I never really have much hate issues on my SMN, but when I do pull hate I usually just hit my earth staff equip macro.

My macros pretty much look like LadyPeorth's macros, at least on my BLM and one of my SMN macro sets. (One for dynamis/laziness, one for exp.) I could go through all my macros from memory, since I have them all in a pattern, so I don't have to stop and think about what macro does what. ...But I doubt anyone cares.

I completely agree that more macro lines would be nice, or just letting wait not take up an extra line on a macro.

That's all well and good, if SMN is the only job you play, ever....

You can save up to 4 Macro Palettes in game, regardless of how many jobs you've played.

**WARNING* WARNING* PP IS OFFERING HELP *

At the Character selection screen, on both PC and PS2, when you have the character hi-lited that you wish to play with:

On PC, Hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift then press "B" to save macro, "D" to delete, and I think "R" to load macrp palettes and setting.

On PS2, I think that you hold all 3 "L" or "R" buttons and use the Thumb Buttons to load, delete, and save.

Either way it will give you a confirmation on what you want to do.

                HA HA... April Fools!

                >.>

No, seriously, try it out, you'll be amazed.

Re: Macro setup of the future .. ?

Heh I never knew that. I'm on PS2 and all the "helpful tips" I ever get are specific to PC players and people are like "Oh..." when I tell them that I don't HAVE a hard drive that I can actually save anything to, I CAN'T turn down graphics, pressing Alt-Tab does NOTHING, and there is absolutely no program I can download which will show me the monster's hitpoint percentage, how long until I can recast a spell or reuse an ability, etc. So it's definately nice to see something I can use for a change. I'll be sure to try it out next time I log in. Thanks!
