Mini Avatar and Full Avatar question

Whats the difference? I read one can do mini avatar battles by lvl20. Can anyone explain the difference?

Level 20 is for summoners to get a chance to solo and get the main avatars so that they can level up with the avatars (otherwise most people who do SMN seem to make it a 2nd job after they get to level 75 and collect the avatar)

But the higher level ones are super hard.. you need to be be 65+ (I think). Fenrir are Diabolos are only obtainable this way..

(Please correct me if I'm wrong)

Also, there are 2 NPC's for each quest. One gives you the Tuning Fork.. and the 2nd one gives you the mini tuning fork.. Mini is for lvl 20 SMN, Big is for the full blown prime. Hope that helps!

Now there's a third one. A super major battle if you will. Requires a full alliance, with all sorts of new drops.

Pebbles posted the new items. I'm inferring that things like Ifrit's bow will be among the new items dropped.

According to another post on the forum the only consistent drop for the big alliance avatar battle is a carbuncle pole

Most people say new drops are crap and not worth it.
I just think it's fun to have 18 smn's rushing a Prime and kicking it's ass. I don't see a problem here.

Oh and for me, since I'm only 74 smn with no merits, I see more damage being done with Tier IV magic as opposed to the level 70 blood pacts :*(

Um... I could be wrong (My SMN is onnly 30), but the Tier IV nukes are affected by TP while the 70 BPs are not, right? So if you had high TP and were MBing the Tier IV nukes, that could make a difference.

Didn't get a chance to use TP really... every 51 seconds nuking Titan didn't really build up that much TP.
