Blm good summoner sub (i am sorry if this has been asked before)

So is blm a good sub or is rdm/whm the only way to go?

I have a really good lvl 75 smn friend that has told me to not smn/blm. i had a feeling the combination would not work, but my curiosity got the best of me, and I decided to inquire why he thought so. he told me that it is not as feasible because the blm spells will not do as much damage because it is subbed. he also pointed out that blm spells eat up more mp then the whm spells that you'll mainly need, that and the rdm spells. i personally, from partying with smn/blm twice, feel that it is not the best combination...mainly because he never used any blm at all. i'm not going to go bigheaded and tell you what to do...that is not my way. i am just suggesting that you try it if you're interested...if it works for you, great...if it doesn't...great. i wish you much luck in your lvl smn.

I use many different subs to my SMn it just depends on the situation.

Subs and why's

thf : non Pt and obviously for the monetary gain for solo farming.

war : Ive used this before during Af runs when its just me and a few LS mates finishing up AF's. Me and Estya are crazy.

Rdm: great for soloing NMs that are harder than you normally could solo. Also using dispel is great as its hardly resisted. Not to mention those -En spells which are great for added damage. In a PT situation /Rdm is primarily there to dispel , if you have no other rdm available.

/whm the obvous choice for its healing and support abilities.

/bard Is great when your PT has a dedicated whm and or blm/rdm or even another Smn. This means more mp gain for the mages. When I do all Summoner BC'es or PT I sub bard for ballad and drink juices to support my mp.

/blm is good for VERY specific BC fights where draining MP is useful. Like fights versus crabs and crawlers.

All other Sj's have their uses, I just gave a few example sof the ones ive used and in which situations.
