Are summoners worthless in CoP missions? I have a feeling they are.

    Re: Summoners and CoP

They're very very useful for the promyvions, not sure about the rest of the other battles.
I say people need to stop being so cookie cutter with promyvion PTs.. i did mea yesterday without a RNG ... :O.. and won

SMN by far are one of the more usefull class in CoP

Well realistically SMN are always up there in usefulness for Boss type battles. Their hate splitting, and diversity are very good for dragged out big battles.

One of the reason is that everyone should *gasp* use items, like traditional rpgs.

Their 2hr are useful too in many situations. Ex:

Tracker battle with zero smn = hair pulling
Tracker battle with 1+ smn = simple co op.

If you didn't know that battle is really annoying because they have a weird shared hate system.

Actually in first three proms the blms in parties were worthless doing nearly 0 dmg on bosses. While SMNs and RNG were the most wanted job for proms because those two killed the bosses the fastest.

SMNs are very usefull on COP Missions, both inside and outside of the BC Boss battles. Sure the usefulness in the Promyvion battles is well known, 3 SMN in the first three Crag Proms is a joke of a battle. After you get into Chapter 2 and beyond the usefullness is always there but SMN become less of a powerhouse. For the Minotaur mission, SMN is just like any other mage in the alliance. For the Diabolos BC you can succeeed with the multiple SMN AF methodology as well. For the first Mammet battle, you can use SMN for either the big AF Boom, or use them to kite a mammet until it is time to fight it. Ouryu is flat out trioable by 3 SMN alone with medication and juice. The next mission is another "kiter" fight during the Sacrarium stint. As you can see there is a place for a SMN in just about every fight. Some with AF, some as a kiter/healer. In the capped areas (especially 50+) a SMN is a decent DD mage with Shiva. Latter missions SMN do not make the fights "easier" as they did in the earlier missions. But with the correct setup a SMN can be a great help. Let it be buffing/healing/kiting/DDing. Its just a matter of finding what your role for that fight needs to be.
