Double Attack

I've not actually partied with a summoner in a long time. Mainly because I've been leveling summoner myself. My question is...don't summons get a double attack? As in when they're fighting normally and just do a double smack every once in a while.

Unless it's me, I could swear I saw Carbuncle do something like that at some point...

I'm kinda wondering at what level? Or perhaps is it summoner skill based?

It's kinda silly when I'm off in Rolanberry fighting super easy Berry Grubs who smack me around twice versus my line up of summons who smack, twiddle their thumbs, smack again... while the enemy got like 3-4 shots off on me in that time. Maybe its to keep the summoner's power down I suppose...

No avatar, fenrir included, has the double attack trait. I really wish they did... that'd make soloing much easier.
