lunar roar broken?

I've been playing around with smn for a while but never really got the chance to do lunar roar. A few days ago I was invited to a pt that was without whm, and I was asked to dispel the buffs on robber crabs.

Lunar didn't work. I also vaguely remember lunar roar not working on dispelling blaze spikes, protect, any sort of buffs whatsoever.

Anybody else have any problems with this? It obviously should be dispelling those stuff since fenrir loves to use it while we're righting him.

It can be resisted like the RDM spell Dispel can be also (though rarely). It's basically a weaker AE version of it, so you have to be carefuly using it around multiple mobs. Try using it on weaker mobs and it works fine, it just has a tendancy to get resisted a lot against ITs.

Quite honestly, I've never seen it resisted. Of course, you never can see the message for actually saying effects of it for some reason, but every time I've used this I've seen the effects go(Stoneskin/Blink/Spikes/etc.).

As for AoE... you don't have to worry about that. If Fenrir gets hate, it doesn't matter. Your party will lose hate as soon as he dies/is released.

Dispelga II is handy to have ;D. Hell, I was even using it on mobs when fighting as my WHM(Never tried it on exp mobs, just soloable stuff like EP), and it always had full effect.
