Madeen, other forgotton summons

Does anyone remember this cute and cuddly "I'm going to rip you apart" Moogle werewolf? Do you think a summon like this would have any place or serve any real purpose on the game? And also, do you know about any other forgotten summons?

I like your suggestion. I think Madeen would fit in the game... so for the sake of my argument i would put him in as light element. Lets be truthful, compared to the rest of the summons, carbuncle is severely lacking. We need a light summon that can match the strength and usefulness of the other summons. And GOD DAMMIT i think its about time SE gave us another free summon. None of this prime fight rubbish, and to be honest i think madeen would fit in much nicer as a reward for doing something monumental for the moogles of the world rather than just pummeling his ass in a prime fight.

For all those who could scream at the idea of SE adding a new light summon and it NOT being alexander, lets face it, alexander is a GOD, but not at all mobile enough to work in this game. Besides, madeen is a symbol of that bond between summons and thier masters.

Wouldn't Phoenix be a HIGHLY possible Avatar which could be implemented in-game? He is forged inside of Tenzen's Blade in CoP. They also make reference to the 5 Terrestrial Avatars; Bahamut, Diabolos, Phoenix, Carbuncle, Fenrir. Phoenix is the only one who has yet to be shown, so S-E could easily make a smaller sized Phoenix Avatar compared to the huge Bahamut. Blood Pact Wise, it would also be manageable. It could have Raise II / III Blood Pacts since it is the Avatar of Rebirth. Which could really correct the current standing of SMN's in EXP Groups. If 2 of the 5 Terrestrial God Avatars are Summonable, I don't see why the other 3 wouldn't be allowed.

They could easily implement a quest for it as well. "Release the Phoenix from Tenzen's Blade" and such. Maybe even an award from the Tenzen BC?

I'd be all for that. I always get /tells (while /anon mind you, it's the AF T_T) for a Raise II in the Lab, or Bibiki Bay by the group with the SMN for a main healer.

Yeah, depending on how you use him, Carbuncle can be the most practical of all your avatars...I've seen SMNs kick some major ass with Carbuncle.

But anyway, while new avatars would be awesome, I don't think we'll be seeing any...not anytime soon, at least...they've already got all the elements covered.

I'd like to see them add some new avatars. But which to add is the question. In best case scenario, I'd like to see 8 more avatars, each one element. This way...you have 2 options per element instead of 1.

Special power would be like relm's sketch thing.

If the mob fails the saving throw, the mimic would become a copy of that mob of the same lv as the smn and fight with your pt. The HP of the mimic would be very low, like a carbuncle or something so to prevent it from actually tanking for the pt very well.

The mimic would behave like a summoned spirit and not really obey you but melee on its own.

If the mob cannot be mimick'ed or saving throw fails, the mimic stays as a clone of the smn at the time it was summoned. so your eq swaps doesn't affect it. (no mimic Kirin or genbu please)

It would also just melee as before and do weapon skills when it had 100% tp. if the smn was unarmed or with eq that could not normally do a weapon skill, the mimic will do one anyway. Gotta find a good excuse to have a rune great axe.

The default of clone would be a copy of the smn. You have to activate a special blood pact to have it try and clone the mob you have targeted.
