New Avatars ..?

There was never no race specific summons before in FF series. In FF9 there were two summoner who had different smns but you controlled them both. They would never do that to job it would destroy the job, period.

If job is not different enough don't play it. I can see people talking about better damage or something but race specific would cause hate in game.

Nice to have ideas but doesn't make them good.

race specific summons could work if they were all equal despite visual looks. as long as the abilities are equal yet have different animations/names i don't think anyone would be unhappy.

Unless they are unknown smns it might work but for odin, bahamut, Alexandria you telling me you woundn't be piss to see like someone from Bastok to have Bahamut but you couldn't cause your from Sandoria or vice versa?

ONLY WAY that work is smns never seen before. If I am smn I want all avatars in game. Like if you were blm and you couldn't get Ultima (if added) because it was race specific.

But hey its my opinion, but I see the outcries already ppl wanting Alexandria and Bahamut and only certain race could get them mad if another race get them and they couldn't But if smns that were never in ff series before were race specific only way I think it work.

I play the job because I always love the smns and smn job in FF series. I care about the job and don't want to see it get messed up. Ninja use to be great blink tank, now I hear from Ninjas they been nerfed (taken strength from). I don't wanna sed SMN job get worse only better.

and no nin tank = smn gets the shaft as a side effect.

pretty much every single smn posting here have said that a nin tank is very very nice for a smn to actually function as a smn instead of a cure tank.

Nerf nin and smn will be even less wanted/useful as a smn in pt's.

theyre enhancing smn same time that they're nerfing nin

In Final Fantasy Tactics Advance there were racial summons. Each race in the game could summon a avatar that no other race could... I dont remember who they were tho. Also your confusing the ultimate summons with a country... Alexander is the summons and Alexandria is the name of a country in FFIX.

Those were Totemas. Summoners existed but only as Viera. They had Carbuncle, Ifrit, Shiva, Ramuh, Unicorn, Kirin, and Madeen. Anyway when I was in Bastok Metalworks this astronomer showed me a map of the sky. All the constellations were Avatars. Only ones missing that we don't ahve were Bahamut, Alexander, and Odin. (at least that I remembered)

No....u know what u guys are mising? U guys say that there is already a avatar for each element....well what about dark? Hence diablos...and from what I've heard is that in the model veiwer, he has the smn avatar motions (curl into ball, rise from ground, etc...) But I have yet to see the pics...

Actually seeing Diablos in game, he certainly has to be an avatar. He has initail summoning animations and death animations. He also has the glowing effect that all other avatars have. He even makes that wierd sound when avatars move around.

Also, he mentions 4 other "terrestrial avatars" (Carbuncle, Fenrir, Bahamut, and Phoenix)

I'm not sure what element he is... seems to be dark though, as he mostly casts Bio and Sleep during the BC fight. His "blood pacts" Nightmare also cause you to sleep with dia effect (~19hp/3secs and it doesn't wake u up either). He has a few other "blood pacts" ive seen him use (one drains attributes) but nothing too crazy.

cactur is already an avatar, just not for smn

It's a bst only broth. Bst = that other smn job in FFXI.

I'm not sure if this was posted before (I only read the first page), but Bahamut is non-elemental. Its stated in each and every single FF that has been created to date. Alexander would be considered light.

Just wanted to say that. xD
