If there were to be 3 new avatars, then my bets are on Bahamut, Odin, and Phoenix. Those are my guesses...

Wrong Dragoons will never get Bahamut. Dragoons are melee class not pet base oriented like BST and SMN yeah they have pet. But never has DRG be pet relied. Drg pets are only there to support their owner not fight for them.

Bahamut will only be for smns if he ever becomes available. Sorry bahamut be too powerful and would only be for SMN. He always was a avatar and always will be a smn or NPC.

If you want pets to control become summoner and beastmaster I suggest. Be happy Dragoons have a pet, most ff games dragoons dont have pet. FFIX and FF10(Kimeri was drg base) no pet.

i am not trying ot offend anyone but lets not think narrow minded. why couldnt they introduce something new? since wyverns for dragoons is new then why not have bahumut be a lv 75 move that can only be used under certain conditions?i think it would be neat if they made a quest for drgs to obtain bahumut but he only comes out when you obtain tp of 300% and use a ws and fights for you until he runs out of life then you msut obtain 300% again to bring him back.(just ideas) on the summonr side of bahumut i think it is totally possible. dont worry so much about the elements. the summons dont have to be a certain element based to be a summon. the bahumut could be a god in the game in which you ask for help form time to time bc you proved your worth in defeating him. in any case se if they do bring summons will no doubt make them fit.

Bahamut most likely won't be an avatar. It is very possible, but not likely.

I think it will be an avatar but not in this next patch. Fenrir was only storyline for windurst missions for a long long time. They eventually made him an avatar.

Perhaps 6 months down the road they will make bahamut an avatar but only to high lv smn. I.e. lv 70 smn only solo fight. (there you go Oceanfish, at last something to do) At least that's what I like to see. No leeching bahamut!

Also, I was thinking, why would SE make a new avatar a surprise? When the patch info before Fenrir came out said "New avatar will be added" (or something like that).

ya, windurst mission rank 9 or something (fairly high). Fenrir was an NPC that appeared in the mission cut scene.

Simularily, there were fenrir equipment in the game several months before fenrir finally became an avatar eventhough no one could get any of it back then. We knew they existed before the patch because some programming folks read the code.

I remember many ppl replaced the moogle with fenrir back before the avatarization. There are plenty of screenshots of fenrir moogles dating from pre patch when all we could do was dream.

Not this patch but probably down the road.

I agree, probably won't be a surprise. They will most likely announce it. However there will always be stuff they don't tell us espically nerfs. Some accidental of course and some that they just don't want to say.

Bahamut? I can't see him being an avatar. He's fucking huge.. The only way I could think of him being an avatar is if he only came in to use a cut scene attack..

if it was sheer lunacy summons, I want to summon bismarck not because of old sentimental reasons but that he is the name of my server.

Kind of crappy that shiva and carbuncle servers get to summon their namesakes while my server name gets stuck on the back burner.

/comfort pandemonium server ppl. My guess is that you guys would probably be last to get an avatar named as such.

Okay what you prolly herd about the expansion is that "Bahamut will be in the expansion" Thats what has been going around Ifrit and as far as i know this is true...But it has never been Clasified on weather or not Bahamut will be a avatar or something else.
