  • Some Questions

Hey!I'm training SMN and I'm looking at stratagies for the Avatar battles and I just have some quetions.

    1. Is there a limited time you can fight the avatars like a cut-off time?

    2. How close do you stay near the battle?

    3. What is the easiest Avatar to fight first? (I want to fight Garuda first)

    4. Where/Who do you get the Mini Forks from?

    5. (Random Question) What lvl and where should you start being in parties?

I'd be a great help if you could help me :spin:
    Vannder Jobs:

    Rdm 8/Whm-9/War-8

    Thinking about lvling Thf again.

If you live in Caithsith, /tell me sometime!

I will assume you are asking about the level 20 battles.

    1. There is a 15 minute Time Limit. At worst, it will probably take you 10.

    2. If you mean in relation to Carbuncle, I would suggest far enough but not so far that you can't see Carbuncle's health bar.

    3. Personally, I thought Titan was the easiest. You don't worry about any weird defenses or status effects (except Bind).

    4. When you are at least 15 SMN main job and have a marginal amount of fame in the area, you can ask the fighter next to the Taru who would give you the big avatar quest and he/she will give you the mini-fork.

    5. I usually start about 15.

Well, I was refused Leviathan until I turned in a few sets of Yagudo necklaces in Windurst and zinc ore in Bastok.

You don't need a whole lot, but you do need a little bit. (I think like level 1 or level 2.)

          Thanks

Thanks for your replies.I just have two more questions ^^.
(First two questions do with Garuda quest (Lvl 20 ones))

          1. For the Garuda quest how do you get Rabao and can you get there by yourself?

          2. Is there a Moogle in Rabao to change your job?

          3. Can you use the Mini-Fork anywhere or do you have to talk to the Taru to teleport you?

            1. Bastok Mines > Zeruhn Mines > Korroloka Tunnel > East Altepa Desert > West Altepa Desert > Rabao. Since you haven't been to Rabao, you haven't bought the maps of Kuzotz (Rabao, E/W Altepa) or Korroloka - which are sold in Rabao itself - so you should look up online maps or ask a friend to guide you. You can sneak there dodging aggro, but it's a lot safer to travel around if you level your WHM to 20 (Sneak) or 25 (Invis). Which you'll probably want to do sooner or later for a SMN sub.

            2. Yes, there are nomad moogles in Rabao like in Kazham and Norg.

            3. You have to talk to the quest-giver. Rabao fame is equivalent to Selbina fame (which is Bastok and San d'Oria fame), so you can do any necessary fame-raising in Selbina instead. Fastest way is the popular sheep-feeding quest.

Well all the info for the Summon stuff has been posted already so I'll just comment on the when to start getting a party. For me and every job I got to lv. 10 benefited the most starting then. Lv. 10 everytime (With exception of RNG) had been the level where I noticed in the properly formed parties leveling from that point was far faster then solo (After all at lv. 10 is when I started facing the MMs, good exp 50 exp a kill 2 kills take as long as 1 MM but 1 MM gives you 200 or more if you get chains). Shot right threw lv. 10 - 15 very quickly. Then at 16-19 seems to have a slight lag in leveling but once you get 20 and up it starts to go faster (Depending were you and the party level from there).
