Spirit Taker = 1:1 damage: mp ratio?!

Spirit Taker seems to be a godly WS but I was wondering how much damage you guys do with it? Does this weapon allow farming "too weaks" with far more ease? How much damage do you guys do to IT+'s? I'm thinking about skilling it up to max for BLM so my SMN can have it as soon as he levels. Also what is the best SMN useable weapon that a 75 BLM can solo for Spirit taker? Thanks.

Mythic Pole is the best easily obtainable weapon, ~10k at the AH.
