From what i understand it is kinda like FFX where you have do (in this case) quest to obtain oyur summons- which would be cool cuz i could a gaurdian for my friend who is gonna be a summoner ^_^

You need to defeat the avatars to be able to summon them.
They quests for fighting them are scattered through out the world. You need lv 6+ fame in the corresponding region to be able to receive the quests.
The avatars are strong. It requires 6 level 60+ players to take it down. The newly added avatar, Fenrir, requires 6 level 75's.
'Guardian' is a concept found only in FFX, which focus its entire plot on the summoner.Junior Member?

Well in a way if you have to fight them to get the summons you could call the people that quest/battle the Avatar- you could call the people who fight the avatars with them "gaurdians" ^_^ so i think i willOriginally posted by Yuanlung
