I quit leveling SMN for now

I quit leveling SMN at LV23 after I PTed with SMN65 with Fenrir. Fenrir was just amazing. I want him badly now. I've accepted the Fenrir quest.

For now, I will focus on leveling my RDM so that I can do the Fenrir quest. I'm hoping that I will be able to join at LV70.

Wow I didn't even realize fenrir gets dispel at level 30, how cool! So what kind of damage was Howling Moon doing?

Fenrir was used mostly for mob status down and PT status up. This combined with Garuda's Blinkga, Titan's Stoneskinga, and Ninja/War tanking, healing was kept to minimum and done mostly by SMN with some help from me.

I really got discouraged leveling SMN without Fenrir.
I want to be at the top of my game when it comes to leveling SMN. Thats why I am going to get BRD to 70-73, then Fight Fenrir (Now that I have him unlocked)

Supposedly Fenrir's Damage is also MUCH better than the other 6 Avatars. Same for his Accuracy.

I saw my LS friend leveling his SMN in Valkurm (lv.15) and Fenrir was doing a good 15-18 damage per Bite, while The other Avatars were doing 7-11 damage.

I was telling myself I would not gain 1 level in SMN until I got at least 3 avatars, now I gotta get all of them before starting SMN?

(note: The original reason was, yes, to be as useful as I can, but I really don't want to wait 2 years to hit L75 and have all the best items and find PTs for the other avatars (TWICE!) and Fenrir...)

I have partied with SMN that had fenrir, we did m5-1 battle its impressive.
I subbed smn and used garuda during the fight for blink, so the SMN could use his bloodpacts and mp only on fenrir. That little doggy stole aggro off the paladin and tanked the archlich most of the battle .
The more I group with a SMN with fenrir, the more I want to have fenrir before playing SMN any more levels. He is the closest thing to a 'damage' avatar, while having very useful abilities like pt buffs and enfeeble/dispel.

since many summoners are great without it, and even better with him.

tazirai, it is discouraging to see Dog 9 - You 0. I wonder what was the lowest level and job that attained Fenrir? I think I could do it now if I had 5 other SMN 75 helping me My chances of finding 5 other 75s is pretty slim. I ask the lowest level question since I'm a RDM and my main job will be to heal, refresh, and occasional attack spells.

I would say don't be discouraged if you don't have Fenrir. If you have other primes and heal well, you should be good to go. I just personally want my very own bitch to command and howl for me.

One thing I noticed about summoners with fenrir, however...

They ONLY summon fenrir... which is not good. We need the blink shield, need the stoneskin, yet they only summon carby and behe's bastard child. Fenrir is nice, but the other summons are needed too. Don't just summon fenrir >.>

Friend on my server killed him with only 5 level 75s, no other person in that last slot. However, they're in the top HNM LS on the server so...
