Summon's melee capabilities?

Just wondering if anyone has noticed a difference between the summons and their melee abilities? Not counting their blood pact abilities, which summon would make the best tank? Thanks.

titan is made out of stone...but ive seen ifrit use crimson howl and that was the coolest O_O....titan=best tank ifrit=best ataker
