I know this topic has been covered, but a SMN/BLK wouldn't be so bad to me.

I know most people want SMN/WHM, but should a PT really go without a full WHM in the first place?

To me, a great damage dealer (if you know your elements) would be a SMN/BLK. You could summon the avatar that is strong against the monster and unleash it's element attacks, and also unleash your BLK element attacks as well!

So, if you have a full WHM, what's bad about SMN/BLK?

by the time you get to level 60 or so.. your blm sub would be 30..

a real blm would have much more powerful spells.. and it wouldnt really help out your summoning skills at all..


at level 35 you only 3 level 2 spells.. stone II aero II and water II

where as a main blm would have 4th level magic..

at level 31 my stone and water II (when not resisted) hit for 150-170

which at level 60+ is jack squat
