Can a PT of 30+s do any summons quest?

Im not yet a summoner (29whm now) but thinking of becoming one. I was told that getting the summons is extremely hard, and almost everyone is stuck with the beginning free summon. Just wonder which is the next easiest summon to get and can a PT of around 34s get it?

Parties in there 30s will get slaughtered
Parties in there 40s will get slaughtered
Parties in there low 50s will only lose
Parties in there 60s could and should win

Plus you have to remember the places the summons are have hard monsters too, you have to get past them.

Big Tip: DON'T PLAY WITH SUMMONER UNTIL YOU OTHER JOB REACHES LEVEL 60

I have my SMN job lvled up to 7 so that my BLM gets an increase in MP - but don't play with Carbuncle until you get the rest of his buddies.

You really don't need ALL of the summons before you start leveling your summoner past 20ish - it would just be nice.

In my opinion Garuda, Titan, and Shiva/Ramuh are the 3 essentials - Garuda being the most important. Garuda has tons of support skills : Aerial Armor(blink), Whisper Wind(Heal), Hastega, and some OK attacks that probably won't be used. Hands down Garuda probably has the most useful skills for support - or at least in my opinion. Titan has a few nice abilities but really doesn't shine until he gets Stone Skin and some of his higher level skills. He also has a nice amount of HP incase he needs to take some hits >_>(Never had the situation arise but I'm just saying..)

Shiva or Ramuh is probably 3rd most important because of their Damage Shields. Personally, I would rather Shiva because of Sleepga incase of emergancys..not that useful but still..its nice to have.

Really if you have 3 of those 4 your in good shape and can level your summoner.

Ifrit really has no useful SUPPORT skills and at low levels thats what a summoner is used for. The only support Ifrit has is War Cry which doesn't help much from what i've seen... Sure he looks cool but eh..doesn't mean you can't live without him for a bit.

Leviathan is a pain to get so personally - I'm saving him for last. He looks cool but really doesn't have any great support skills..his attacks are nice(like Ifrit) but doesn't have much support. Only useful skill he has is that Esuna + Cure thingy.. >_>

Carbuncle has some nice abilities for some reason in my opinion he isn't THAT horrible. I use him once in awhile for his little Stat Upgrade or +Def +Mag Def . Petit Meteo is also pretty nice I hear. I don't think you should diss the little skunk Sure he isn't that great but I still use him from time to time just to boost his ego.
