AF vs. Vermillion

I saw a level 71 Summoner on my server that had a few pieces of AF, but instead of having the Torso and Head gear equipped, he had a cloack call "Vermillion Cloak" or maybe tunic.

The Vermillion gave a few random stats to health, mp, and accuracy down, but added the effect of Refresh.

Is this clock actually worth using more than the other two pieces of AF armor?

in my opinion its just worth it for the refresh effect

hmmm not sure, do u have the exact stats of the armor? the refresh ability is nice except for one thing, summoners already get refresh, and thats way before lvl 71. So if it was a high lvl armor only, and the only thing great about it was refresh i would stick with the AF. it would be nice for other mage classes though.

Well, summoner refresh is only 1MP a tick, so that combined with vermillion cloak is 2MP a tick, which is almost as much as rdm refresh. Then if you get refresh cast on you thats 5MP a tick while refresh lasts. then if you have a brd too add ballad and ballad2 for more MP regen XD With these other mp regen abilities, 1 extra mp a tick might not seem like much, but thats like 3000 extra MP per hour. Considering PTs last usually 2 hours on average, thats a lot of extra MP.

The Vermillion Cloak isn't to high level, but high enough. I'd probably use it if I had a picture confirming the AF SMN armor doesn't have any -MP consumption on it.

just like that and the astral signa, those things are the elitest of elitest equipment, they do not come as a consideration of equipment, they come in as in the final equipment that everyone wants but almost no one gets...

How exactlly do you get the Vermillion Cloak and Astral Signa if their so extremely hard to get.

Anyone know? Anyone care to describe in detail?

Vermillion cloak was selling for 4million in jeuno last time i check on me server. Might be more on other servers.

Hmm, I still think I'd go with the AF armor. I'd like the extra 20+ Power to summons I think.

I'd definetlly try and get an astral signa though :D

lol and if it was that easy to get a demon's cloak i would have one sitting in my mog house waiting for me... and all the spells through level 60ish too! but i think im going to go sum/whm once i get to 30... the costs of blm spells is limiting my crafting...

Go to the Alexander server. Go to Windurst. Go at prime time. Theres at least 30 or 40 people with either AF armor, or levl 65 or higher armor. Its pretty incredible. and the quest is really tough, but its not impossible. You just gotta keep doing those quests, and keep gaining those levels. :p
