Garuda, Summon help!!!!

just wondering if any high levels can possibly help my friend get a few of the summons??? hes a lvl 30 Whm finishing sumoner quest very soon. If ya can help please send Tonkz a tell, i duno what he can offer but you help he'l be greatful, and the sumon quest has good rewards itself ^^

I agree with Kirara, you people should really wait till Lv 60 to try to get these SMNs. there is no way anyone under Lv 55 can survive and be of use in the battle. Once you get to Lv 55+ then go crazy on SMNs but till then if you can find a party that is willing to take your Low level self on a Summon Marathon, well ............Good luck with that.

Okie guys just a little heads up for ya, there are some people that wanna play a summoner and DONT wanna use Carbuncle till lvl 50-60. My personal option is that they should have naver made the class the way they did, 1 pet at lvl 1 and then NOTHING new till 60!?!?!? Come on...so for anyone who asks for help on summons I say you help them because they jsut wanna play there class justl like everyone else.

Aside from that now, in order to get a summon if your lower level you need a balanced group of lvl 65+ people (pally, theif, warrior, whm, and rmd works well) and they all must have the quest. Search around on your server I am sure there are some people that arnt compleatly rude and will help you!

Ummmm heres why....

1.)Heee hee helping people getting the summon for their Lv 1 SMN is sort of ...crazy. The reason why I said wait until a higher Lv is because the Summon Beast's attack is a wide range effect, AKA "Hits all party members". So if your front line gets hit and dies (which usally happens if you have 3 fighters up there) then hee hee...bye bye.

2.) Bringing a low level character getting the quest and getting to the protocrystals is extremly hard. Of you get in trouble your party must keep back tracking to get to help you if you are not already dead. There is a reason why Summons are soo hard to get in the game and aren't meant for newbies to get their paws on ^.~ It is my understandng that a Summoner can be the most powerful job in the entire game; which gets you thinking why would Square enix make it any easier to allow people to just become a Summoner with ease.

I could see the justice in how hard the summons are then. The reason I wanted them easier is because people say they suck, but I have never seen a level 70 SMN, and I'm guessing not many people have.

I'd help the guy get his summons if I were high enough level lol.

and.. I think its unfair that you gotta wait till level 60+ to get the summons. If the only thing is that you wanna be is sumoner then i guess ya gotta wait til yer 60 and for the time just be a cure tank. Anyways.. we'll be 60 soon enough

i think people still dont' get the POINT that you don't use summoner job to fight summons, you level ANOTHER job above 60 then do the fights obtain the summons for your summooner to use

If S-E made it so you could get all the summons at LV 30... then there would be tons of Summoners... they made it high so there would be few I'm guessing. So if you really want them you have to work hard. I do think they should've done it differently like get a new SMN every say... 15ish LVs, but thats not how it work so.

Summoner is a twink job. End of story.
Out of 2k+ people on my server when I do a search, only 20 of them are summoners. I think SquareEnix got the 'rare' part covered :p

About 7 of them are 'real summoners' (JP with full set of avatars - ALL with PT flags on )
I have only seen 1 summoner in AF and he was looking for a PT while chain summoning for skillups outside jeuno.

S-E should have just made the summoner quest not completable until you were 60 with the way its setup. I see alot of people race to quest for summoner job at 30 but see them switch to another job before they even make 15 as SMN because who wants to play the early levels without at least 1 summon besides carbuncle. Personally I would have been happy with just leviathan from the start until I could fight the rest of them.

I don't want all the summons as soon as I unlock the job - I want to earn them, but I want to do it as a SMN.
They should have made 1 attainable by level 30 or 40 with the fight being level restricted or something. Then have others attainable every 10 levels after.

Even if I am a competent WHM when its my main job I absolutely loathe the fact I must play WHM to 'farm avatars' in order to play a SMN as its intended.
Seeing level 1 summoners with all summons available to them just cheapens the experience of leveling a summoner in my opinion. Ifrit is going to show up for some level 1 summoner to help him kill madragora buds? LOL.

If you have all the avatars because you got something else to 60 and your sub is leveled to max already - what do you possibly have to look forward to? There is no need to buy spells, your sub is already taken care of, no scrolls to buy for summoner since you have avatars better than any spirit. You have a level 60 already so gil isn't a problem and you will be decked out with astral rings,etc from level 1 - so there isnt much in the equipment area to look forward to either.


If elementals didn't suck so much MP and casted spells more often, you could almost get by as a SMN with carbuncle/spirits until level 40 or so.
I can solo tough monsters with LightSpirit, but parties only want a SMN and all your mp if you are their curetank b*tch.

Its not a total loss though, SMN carbuncle is pretty nice for farming easys nonstop, made 130k in a couple days.

I think i'll go PT as WHM now and unlock another adv job that doesnt require me to be 60 first (^~^).
